บท 20: The Wedding

Tension was evident between the mates after their last encounter. It wasn't the good kind. Each had some form of complaint against the other.

Despite these differences, Atlas announced the official date of the wedding as per the custom. Natalia was by this time already resigned to her fate.

She, like everyone else, made an effort to prepare for the wedding. During this period, her closest ally was none other than the beautiful Giselle.

Whenever she felt lonely, Giselle made her feel at home. As a mercenary, she wasn't quite used to making friends of the same gender.

Even so, Giselle proved to be a ray of sunshine for her. She provided the warmth and care that was typical of a friend.

She would discuss different aspects of life with her without an issue. However, one thing soon became apparent to the mercenary.
