"Oh, Luna?" the majesty asked as a smile formed on her lips.
She placed her cup of coffee on the black side table as one arm was crossed onto her chest, her other elbow resting on her hand, and her long and sharp black nails played onto her cheek while thinking about who the woman Ellaine was talking to would be.
"Is it the woman with a slim face and white hair?" she asked, just to make sure that the woman Ellaine was pertaining to, and the woman she had at the back of her mind was the same.
Ellaine, although she was slightly hesitant as she didn't know how the majesty knew Louisanna's featured, nodded as she made her gaze glued to the floor.
This is what she always feels every time she's in this place. This place was even darker than Inferno, and that's the time she realized that evilness doesn't exist in one place. It's on the person who was carrying it.
'Did she name herself as Louisanna now? What an interesting name.'
Achyls, the majesty of hell, smiled as she heard about her existence again. It's been a while since she heard that name.
It wasn't even the name she was used to hearing, but knowing that she was alive and kicking after all these years made her sigh in relief, and tremble in fear at the same time.
She knew how useful or dangerous that woman may be since she had been with her for a long time before her power was prohibited by the higher-ups of the heavens in the whole universe.
It's because of how great her power she has, that's why those races had to seal it. She was even lucky to find a place where she can use her powers freely. Without them knowing, it wasn't her they should have been feared in the first place.
It was someone else.
"Your majesty… Did I mishear you?" Ellaine couldn't help but ask. Curiosity traveled onto her body. "Did you call her Luna?"
But instead of answering her question, a wide smirk showed on Achyls' lips as she leaned onto her throne and crossed her legs. She bit the nail on her index finger a bit as she was surrounded by a dark fog.
"Don't mind me, dear," the majesty told her as her thoughts were floating somewhere.
It was a long time since she last saw Luna. She knew her for a long time, and she didn't need to be here in her self-made castle to hide her identity, she would have gone to the human world herself and approached her.
Unfortunately, her power isn't working when it comes to her… as Luna was deemed special no one was able to notice.
Achyls tried to divert her thoughts somewhere, and that was the time she noticed how Ellaine was standing in front of her. She may look firm and strong, but she could feel her uneasiness, especially on how she played on her fingers while her gaze was on the floor.
She could feel an aura of sadness and fear for her entire existence, and her body expression made the majesty confirm that thought.
She knew what happened back in the inferno, not because she used her power of clairvoyance, but because she could still feel Domhall, her son's rage, on her body.
Achyls frowned as she felt that the kind of rage Domhall released was intense to the point that she could still feel it on Ellaine even though they parted ways for a while now.
"Did something unusual happen?" Achyls stared at Ellaine with intimidation in her eyes as she asked that question.
"Aside from his obsession, nothing strange happened except that I noticed how his powers increased when he felt rage," Ellaine answered directly. A hint of amusement was evident in her voice. "Anger and pride were the sources of his greatness."
"Just like how he was when he was human. He never changes." The majesty cackled lightly as she shook her head.
She suddenly remembered the time when she made Ellaine as Domhall's guide spirit and protector. She knew how rebellious her son may be since it was on their bloodline, and she never got wrong with that.
Domhall causes trouble in the last four lifetimes he had, and her clairvoyance power was so strong that she knew what to do at that time.
She predicted and calculated everything… except for one thing.
"It's because of their fate. It will be unchanged," Achyls whispered as she slightly waved her hand.
She made a black fog shape into a sword, and in a few seconds, it became a real one as it floated onto her right hand.
It was Luna.
It may feel like a punch in her stomach to admit that Luna's power was beyond ordinary, but she needs to acknowledge her skills and power this time.
She never thought she underestimated her to the point that she thought they won't be able to meet each other after the curse on the eclipse, but it seems like fate were with them.
Their forbidden love couldn't be separated, but she needs to do something to protect her child. Their undying love for each other would probably make one of them get killed.
"Ellaine?"
"Yes, your majesty?"
The majesty grinned wickedly as she ran her fingers onto the sharpness of the sword. She raised it a bit to make Ellaine, who tilted her head and had her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, see and understand what she was going to say.
"Louisanna Lohengrin is exactly just like this… A double-edged sword," she added as she snapped her fingers, and in the blink of an eye, she buried one of her fingers onto the sword, causing her black blood to flow on it.
Ellaine felt her body shaken as she saw how the sword pierce one of the majesty's fingers, and she was about to run in her direction, but using the index finger which was currently wounded, Achyls moved her finger back and forth, telling her not to make this scene a big deal as it shouldn't be.
She just wanted Ellaine to realize on how heavy the responsibility she was going to assign to him. When she properly executed the mission, it would make Inferno powerful... even more stronger than other races.
"She could make him… or break him," Achyls told her with authority. "So you better make sure that she would be someone who can make Domhall discover his real power, and not the one who'll ruin him."
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
"Crap. I can't do this anymore."
Louisanna sighed in exhaustion as she tried to absorb all of the things she had read in the book that was placed on her lap, but no matter how hard she tried, nothing remained on her mind as her thoughts were roaming somewhere else.
There were two things she was thinking about. First is the bills that she needed to pay at the end of the month, especially her mother's hospital expenses which doctors say is quite a waste because her mother's condition doesn't change after all those years, and it was even worsened these past few days.
Second is her vivid dream about Domhall. She didn't know why but there was something in his presence that makes her captivated by him. She knew that he was a dangerous guy, but at the same time, she wanted to wrap both of her arms around his waist, lean her head onto his chest, and feel his heartbeat.
'Maybe because I was fascinated by his powers.'
Louisanna nodded a little as she tried to convince herself of that thought. There's no way her heart would feel something on a man who proclaims himself as the demon king.
There's also no way that she is in her sane mind because she was even entertaining the fact that all of those things happening to her was true.
What she was thinking right now was even more ridiculous than those stupid fairytales she never believed in even when she was a child.
Louisanna heaved a sigh again for the second time as she closed the book she was holding. They have a quiz at the last class on this day before she could go to work.
It is a major subject, but she can't do anything if there isn't even one single word retained in her mind every time she attempts to review. She would just pray that the quiz would postpone tomorrow.
"Studying is exhausting, isn't it?" Gianna asked her which made her snap out of her thoughts.
She was sitting beside him, but unlike her, Gianna wasn't studying. She was just staring at the sky which looked like a painting at this moment.
The color of sky had a mixture of the colors orange and red, and there are birds flying in some parts of it.
The scenery was overly breathtaking, so Louisanna had no questions about why Gianna had her eyes glistening as she never blinked once while trying to capture the image of the sky in her mind.
Louisanna didn't know that there was another reason why Gianna was fascinated by the sky. She stares at it like she hasn't seen that kind of view for a long time. Her eyes had a jolly expression on them... with a hint of longingness. Louisanna wondered why.
'Gianna is weird sometimes,' she told herself as she shook her head and looked at the sky as well.
She admits that it was pretty, though, but not to the point that she would be teary-eyed while staring at it. Maybe Gianna was suffering from something. She closed her eyes as she decided to remove that thought from her mind. Everyone has a problem they needed to solve, and overwhelming emotions they needed to overcome, just like her.
"No. Studying is fun," she answered as she leaned her head onto Gianna's shoulder. "Trying to survive every single day isn't."
"Did something happen?" Gianna asked her as her best friend's gaze went on her.
Even though she wasn't looking, she could feel the intensity of her stare. Her gaze was fixed on the students walking in front of them. Some of them were smiling while reading a book or talking to their friends, while some are alone while listening to music on their headsets.
But all of them were happy, and she could feel it. She somehow asked herself, if life became kinder to her and she doesn't need to experience all of these suffering and responsibilities at a young age, would she be able to smile genuinely as her classmates? Would she be able to have a normal life? Because in this life she has, even breathing became an obligation for her.
'Am I that bad on my past life for Heaven to let me suffer this much?' she couldn't help but ask herself in a bitter yet sorrowful tone.
"No, I'm fine," Louisanna answered as she closed her eyes. Darkness filled her body as she felt drowsy. "It was just so tiring. Everything feels exhausting."
Her body weakened as she let herself be vulnerable at that time. She could feel how her limbs felt like jelly as she didn't move much. It's not even helping that her head feels like it's getting pounded these past few days.
E novery part of her body was hurting, and she feels like her will to live was already decreasing. She's exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally.
But every time she's with Gianna, she feels like she's already safe. Gianna is in one of her comfort zones.
"Aw, my girl," Gianna told her as her hand traveled on her head and caressed it a bit, trying to put her to sleep. "It might be hard for you..." she even added as she showed a sad smile.
If only she can take the pain away, she would be glad to take it. It was her mission, after all.
Louisanna has Gianna as her guardian angel. She guided and protected Louisanna for the past three lifetimes she spent her life with her.
She was with her not just in this kind of suffering she's experiencing today, but also on those horrible days in her past lifetimes she was with her. In every lifetime Louisanna had, there's always a challenge or a wave of despair waiting for her. It was like a cycle that never ends.
And as much as Gianna could see what was happening with this lifetime; the fourth lifetime to be exact which would probably be the last time she was going to be Louisanna's guardian angel, she could see that their horrible fate would start playing again.
"I'll try to protect you as much as I can, Luna..." she whispered to her as she tapped her head for the last time since she already fell asleep on her shoulder. "I won't let you get hurt again."
