(Time guardians= timekeepers)
________________________________________
In the video footage, three strange-looking extraterrestrial beings were seated on thrones, looking down on two Lokis.
"So, these are the so-called Time Keepers?"
Tony Stark chuckled, "Loki is right, these are just three space lizards, and they even look somewhat comical."
After the previous segments of the video, it was clear that the Time Keepers appeared powerful, but in their eyes, the timelines were merely playthings.
Anything that deviated from the sacred timeline, whether it was gods from Asgard or rulers from Titan, vampires, monsters, or any other beings, all were subject to their cleansing and pruning.
Naturally, the audience believed that the masterminds behind it, even if not omniscient and omnipotent, were great beings beyond imagination.
Perhaps they were beings of high dimensions or powerful gods.
Just like the Dark Dimension's ruler Dormammu, the cosmic overlord Thanos, or Star-Lord's celestial father Ego, their mere presence exuded overwhelming oppression and even despair.
At the very least, they should resemble someone like the Accuser Ronan, who looked like a formidable antagonist, right?
However, these three space lizards on the screen had neither strong, towering physiques nor any other impressive features. They didn't even emit a dazzling aura to add some mystique.
In short, it was a major disappointment.
In the video, the two Lokis, of course, didn't fear such opponents. Loki taunted, "Is this why you brought us here? To kill us? I've lost count of how many times I've been killed, so go ahead."
The cunning Loki always found a way to escape when it mattered, and he wasn't about to yield to these three space lizards.
As for Sylvie, she was even ready to fight directly. However, her neck collar controlled her, preventing her from getting too close to the Time Keepers.
But at this moment, the female agent suddenly arrived, released the two Lokis from their restraints, and threw a weapon at Sylvie!
Scott Lang cheered, "Well done! Sylvie is so clever. Is this her plan? I have to admit, her courage is admirable!"
Tony Stark smirked, " Loki is sly and cunning, while Sylvie is smart and brave, Loki, you're a double standards bastard."
Scott Lang glanced at Loki and chuckled, "To be honest, I think no matter who it is, they'd prefer Sylvie, right?"
Tony Stark nodded, "On this point, I agree with you."
Once the two Lokis were free from their restraints, they immediately fought back. They cooperated and swiftly took care of the guards around them.
Sylvie personally defeated Judge Ravonna, the one who had ruined her life, She finally got some revenge.
Nick Fury, watching this, shook his head, "Something's not right. This is way too easy; the defence here is too lax."
Hank Pym furrowed his brow, "Perhaps it's because the Time Keepers are powerful enough and don't need much help from guards?"
But soon, they witnessed a surprising turn of events. The Time Keepers, who had just been boasting about pruning and resetting the two Lokis, unexpectedly surrendered!
"Sylvie, you are also the offspring of Time Keepers. We can talk!"
Tony Stark shrugged, "Hey, what's this? Even if they don't snap their fingers or something, at least put up a little resistance, how can they Surrender so easily?"
After a little shock, he laughed, "It's like some of our companies or certain bureaucrats; the people doing the work below are competent, but those giving orders above are a bunch of fat, useless jerks."
Nick Fury gave him a sceptical look, privately assessing that this guy probably had some anti-authority thoughts.
The Time Keepers' behaviour was shocking, but an even greater surprise awaited them.
Sylvie acted decisively. She didn't hesitate and agreed to the Time Keepers' request for negotiations. At the same time, she took a step forward and swung the sword in her hand, beheading one of the space lizards!
The grand Time Keepers were taken down so easily?
Its head rolled down like a ball and came to a stop at the feet of the two Lokis. Meanwhile, the other two Time Keepers seemed to tilt their heads, seemingly fainting from shock.
Sylvie picked up the fallen head but found no flesh and bones inside; instead, it contained a pile of electronic components!
"It's fake. They are soulless robots. I thought this would be the end of it."
Sylvie appeared quite disheartened.
Loki shared her sentiment, "Who created this?."
After going through so much trouble, they didn't expect it to end up being all for nothing.
This unexpected outcome left the audience puzzled. Nick Fury shook his head, "I thought they might be puppets, but I never imagined they were robots! Remember, the two Lokis underwent a check when they were apprehended at the Time Variance Authority: only humans with souls could pass through the security gates. Robots would be destroyed. Who could have thought that these three great guardians were soulless machines?"
Tony Stark furrowed his brow, "It's another deception. The true mastermind behind this is not a good person!"
Scott Lang nodded, "You're right. Only cunning and deceitful villains would pull off such tricks, one layer of deception after another. It's filled with too many lies."
Loki shrugged, "They even deceived the two gods of mischief. I have to admit they did a good job in the deception department."
Behind each lie lay a mystery.
Who was the true mastermind?
What were their goals?
Were they good or bad?
With these investigative thoughts in mind, they continued to watch the video, hoping to find the truth within it.
In the video, after a moment of disappointment, Loki gathered his composure and suddenly grabbed Sylvie's shoulder. He looked somewhat sheepish and nervous, saying, "There's something I need to tell you, something I've never experienced before in my entire life."
"What are you going to do?" Sylvie asked, puzzled.
Tony Stark couldn't help but laugh, "Hahaha, this is the real highlight! Is Loki about to confess? This is going to be exciting".
