Lua didn't know where he went out since their master liked going to the wild mountain to observe the vast sea of stars and creatures. He often told stories about the gods and spirits in the sky.
" I don't know. Maybe, he went to the spirit mountain range."
Lua said with confusion on her innocent face. Lao sighed and put down the groceries. He took out a few pieces of candy and handed them to his sister. Although he wanted one for himself, he knew this thing was expensive for him.
" Take it, I will find the master and tell him to go back. Spirits, why is he so active even though he is already in his 90s?"
He sighed once again with a helpless look. He changed his clothes into his monk clothes, and ran to the back exit of the temple. Obviously, Lua had been left by him and she was occupied to make dinner for them.
Swoosh*
Every step he took shrank the total distance between the exit and himself. It was an impossible phenomenon that rejected the law of space. However, the Eastern people were known for their ultimate techniques that changed the law of physics. This was the same for him. It was one of the techniques that he learned from his master who was known for his speed.
" Moon chasing Sun!"
His speed was barely invisible to the naked eye. He quickly zigzagged through the mountains and found nothing. Moreover, the spirits seemed to be restless, unlike their usual selves.
" Spirit Connection!"
His eyes turned silver as his soul peeked through the unknown realm.
Nothing*
He couldn't find a single trace of his master. It was like his master didn't exist in the first place. No signs of spirit energy or mana, only spirits that were looking at him with curiosity.
" Master!"
He shouted, but there was no answer. His eyes were full of puzzlement as he went back to his temple. He hoped he was thinking wrong since his master was one of the strongest people on this continent. Furthermore, no one would dare to mess with their temple since all of their elder monks were known for their incredible powers.
He wasn't afraid of outside threats since they were one of the 9 sects of this continent that held peace over hundreds of years.
Swoosh*
He quickly dashed back to his temple, hoping to make it to dinner. Fortunately, his feet were swift enough to make it on time. He saw his sister who was placing 2 bowls on the table. It was herb stew which he liked to eat because it was healthy and nutritious. Additionally, it is a soup that helps him to recover both mana and stamina.
" Whoo, I have made it right on time. I was afraid of missing out."
Lao said, sitting down on the chair. Lua shook her head as she placed the chopsticks near him.
" By the way, what happened to master? Didn't you go out looking for him?"
Lua asked with curiosity. She knew her brother was the best tracer in their temple.
" He must have erased his presence. I couldn't find him anywhere. Besides, old masters are coming soon. They will find him."
Lao said, patting his stomach. He got up from his seat and proceeded to the training field. Unlike traditional monks who they train with either blunt weapons or fists, their temple had a variety of weapons. Lap chose the halberd because it suited his taste and body.
" Haa."
He shouted, swinging down the halberd which was dulled in the tip. He imagined the martial artists who faced him in the last tournament.
Somewhere in the continent.
An old monk raised his hand and received something from the hawk. He opened the letter, and found a piece of bad news inside.
" So, they came for him. Well, I don't blame them."
The monk replied while chanting his mantra. His expression was void of any remorse or regret.
" Tsk, those bastards forgot who saved them from the dark spirits. We can't blame him for the massacre of spirits. He was controlled by them."
One of the monks with replied. His body was staggering 2 meters 30 centimeters.
