บท 61: Provoking a War
Xue Long was meditating inside of his Spirit Palace. It was another form of meditation for him.
This place was perfect for him to continuously understand elements and get better at controlling said elements. As he was surrounded by four elements in perfect balance.
Earth and Wind
Fire and Water
He got wind element after angel grandpa showed him a location with strong wind currents. He used that place to create a wind attribute core.
Once that was done four forces were in balance inside of his Spirit Palace.
This affected his Cultivation Domain quite a bit. As the damp and humid feeling which was in the domain disappeared instead, there was a warm breeze now.
This is not the only change as he tested out his domain on other things. The growth speed of Spirit Beasts, Immortal Herbs, and Spirit Ring doubled once again.
Such development had led to Xue Long in truth…farming Immortal Herbs! And helping his maids to get their last Spirit Ring as 100 thousand years one. Just like how he has been doing for his fiance at this very moment.
While it takes several weeks to make a 90 thousand-year-old spirit beast reach that 100 thousand-year milestone. Such an amount of time is simply minuscule.
Though the beast has to go through Lightning Tribulation after reaching that 100 thousand years mark, both Qian Renxue and Xue Long can divert such nuisance.
As he was meditating on the element he was not ignorant of what was happening outside. He is constantly paying attention to his surroundings.
He already sent out Hu Liena to mess with Dai Weisi. Several hours have passed since then.
So, it was time to check on him.
Slowly he opened his eyes. The Crown Prince was sitting on a throne prepared by his maids. It was inside the main tent.
"Let's go and meet my fellow Crown Prince." As he said that he got up from the throne and started to walk towards the exit. He was followed by Shui Bing'er and Na'er. While his fiance was busy watching over her future 100 thousand-year-old ring mature.

As Xue Long walked there he saw Dai Weisi laying on the ground. He looked quite haggard with his royal clothes messy, he even looked emotionally defeated as well.
"My prince. I present to you Dai Weisi. I gave him some… experience what happens when he has antagonistic feelings towards you." Hu Liena said with some barely hidden anger and annoyance.
'She is angrier at him than I am… and I am the one who lost his brother and was had an assassination attempt. Truly females are beings of emotions.' He thought with a sweatshop before getting to the matter at hand.
"Nice work. Do you think he is still capable of proper conversation?" The Crown Prince of Heavenly Dou Empire asked with some curiosity, this was the first time he allowed her to use her Illusion unhinged like this.
They are powerful especially when her Charming Fox Martial Spirit evolved into Illusionary Fox.
"...Truthfully I don't know? I think he should be able to talk. But, I think he will attack you the very first moment." She said that with some embarrassment. The blonde might have overdid it with all those fantasies…
"Oh? He is at the point where he has no reason?"
She slowly nodded at him.
"Well, that is fine. He can try as much as he wants." As he said that without any sort of care. His maids immediately armed themselves. Which is quite hilarious in a sense…
He is a Rank 99… with 19 Spirit Rings… there are not that many beings on this planet who could be threats to him…
Sure enough, Hu Liena stopped with her illusions… yet Dai Weisi didn't move.
It took some time but the blonde prince from Star Luo finally moved.
He groaned as he pushed himself off the ground. Slowly turning around and sitting down properly. With some difficulty, his gaze swept the surroundings.

"...You… I can finally see you clearly… those illusions… they are vicious… it took me several hours to understand what was going on." He said that bitterly. Dai Weisi felt like an idiot falling for them for so long!
And this maid… she played ruthlessly with his emotions. It's simply vicious cruelty!
"Well, my maids have a bone to pick with your empire. So what now? You are here, trespassing in my camp." Xue Long asked with crossed arms. He wants to hear it from the mouth of his rival Empire's Prince.
"...Hand over Zhuyun and I will forget that this has happened."

All the five maids which were in the area snorted at the same time.
"You are a weakling, why would I listen to any of your demands? You breathe at this moment because I allow you to breathe. You forgot that it was your Star Luo who started this first." The Heavenly Dou Crown Prince said with a frown. As the demand he heard is simply absurd.
He ain't handing over his new kitten. He is not that cruel to give it to an owner who is incapable of taking care of her!
"...You… there will be war between our Empires! Do you want that!?"
"Yes. If you can persuade your old man to do just that. It would be a grand affair." The Golden Dragon of Heavenly Dou said with an almost bloodthirsty smile.
"...You…you are mad!"
"Spoken, like a true idiot. You are the one who threatened war in the first place. If you can't back your threats then you are just a clown." Xue Long exclaimed with a shrug. What is with these Star Luo people and their threats of war? Zhu Zhuyun did it and now this idiot did it.
He truly should re-train his new kitten. The Star Luo royal family is simply a bad influence.
"...Fine! I will back this threat up! If you want it you will get it!" Slowly the blonde prince got up on his feet. His gaze swept the area. He saw a way to leave.
He merged with his white tiger martial spirit and rushed out at the quickest speed possible.
The Crown Prince blue-haired sister maids were about to use their ice abilities to freeze him but Xue Long stopped them by grabbing their hands.
"No, let him run. We are going to wait for that declaration of war."
"D-Do you think it's going to happen?"
"It will. That royal family is full of idiots. At times like these, their shortcomings will appear. Dai Weisi will demand war, the Emperor will say no. But the prince will mobilise anyway and the Emperor will have to cave in as he only has one Prince at this point. The other one is here in Heavenly Dou. This means if he is to overwrite his son's actions will cause a schism in their 'Glorious' Empire.
My actions simply made sure Dai Weisi… will go through it either way." As he explained his scheme, Shui Yue'er had stars in her eyes while the rest simply nodded.
The Dolphin maid is simply a fanatical fangirl by this point which is hot, in its unique way…
"...He has no idea that you are Rank 99, does he? If he had he would have more reason…" Na'er said with a forced smile. She knows it's going to be a bloodbath on Star Luo's side…
"Only a few selective people know that I am Rank 99. For the rest of the world, I am just a Titled Douluo. It's better this way." He said with a shrug.
"It's common sense that the higher the cultivation the harder it is to cultivate."
His maids simply looked at him with several different expressions. They wanted to know if he was mocking or just telling… either way it's going to be a slaughter…
"Let's return. We have set things in motion now."
"...but, my Prince… we still need time for the bird to reach that 100 thousand year milestone. It could take time… which Star Luo will Mobilise their forces. We could needlessly lose people in the process…" Na'er pointed out a small issue on this.
"You do realise that mobilising troops takes time? Like quite a bit of time. From resources to logistics. This could take months.
More than enough for us to get ready for them."
"You should notify His Majesty… just in case." Hu Liena said with some worry. She doesn't want Xue Long to get into any sort of trouble she even slightly feeling guilty for torturing the Star Luo Crown Prince.
"He already knows. More precisely, we have been preparing for this for quite some time. When I reached Titled Douluo I told him that I will provoke Star Luo when I can. Ever since then, my father has been gathering resources and stockpiling things just in case."
This time all of them nodded with impressed gazes. As expected of their prince!

"W-What? Weisi was here!? W-W-What happened to him!?" Zhu Zhuyun asked with a panicked tone. She was afraid of what had happened to him because of her actions!
"Liena put him in an illusion and tormented him for several hours. After that we exchanged words. Now he is going back to mobilise the armies of the Star Luo Empire." Xue Long explained all that while sitting on his throne.
The older Zhu girls swayed from side to side in disbelief; she could not believe how quickly all of this was getting out of hand! Same with Zhu Zhuqing who was standing next to her sister. They don't speak with each other at this point yet, but the younger one was called here to hear what the Prince has to say.
"There will be a war?"
"Something like that, yes." He said quite casually.
"...I See… you wanted all of this didn't you?"
"It was coming either way. Your ex-fiance's family tried to kill me and humiliate my family. It's only natural that I pay back." He explained quite plainly.
"Now we will see how strong is your Star Luo Empire." The Crown Prince said that with a small smile.
"...I understand. Is there anything else you need from me?" Eventually, Zhu Zhuyun decided that it was pointless to talk about this.
"No. You may return to your training."
She nodded before slightly bowing to him and then turning around and walking out from the largest tent in the camp.
Leaving Zhu Zhuqing who was just simply standing there.
"...What about Dai Mubai? The second prince of Star Luo? He is…was my Fiance. What are you going to do to him?" She asked him quite seriously.
"You sound like I am here to slaughter Star Luo royalty."
"You are not?"
"If I wanted revenge for all those transgressions I would have killed their royalty way back when I became just a Titled Douluo. Back then my strength was already close to Limit Douluo. Now? 3 years later? My strength is much more than that. In other words, I don't care about the royal family."
The younger Zhu slowly nodded, her mind processing what he just said. In other words… he wants the war for war's sake. Not because of revenge. He is using revenge as a reason to wage this conflict…
"This mean that I can deal however I want with Dai Mubai?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"That was our deal. Do you need a Titled Douluo to break his bones? Or maybe you want to use him as a practice dummy? Or maybe you want to torment him with illusions? Just tell me and I will arrange it for you." He said that with a simple smile. He needs to take care of his side of the deal. One thing for sure is that he is keeping his side of the things.
"No, none of that. I want to hear his side of things. Once I know the reason I will be satisfied."
"Quite soft. Still, if this is what you want—"

"Hoh? The tribulation is starting." As he said that he got up from the throne. Time to see what this thing looks like!
