บท 60: Let's settle the old grudge!

"Ma-master!" Huan spoke after sawing his master appearing in front of him.

"He is the new elder in our sect!"

"Yes, I know him, I saw him yesterday!"

"He is the youngest elder!"

The crowd erupted in surprise and shock. They were seeing the youngest elder right now.

Rong Yuan paid no attention to them and spoke.

"What are you doing here, disciple?"

"I... Ano... fight..." Huan was unable to speak as this happened too suddenly.

"Nothing? Then, let's go. We have got many things to do." Yuan said with a plain tone. He was relieved he came in time, if he were a second late it would be too late. Huan would have accepted the challenge and fought.

"Hold your horses, Yuan! Where are you going?" A crude and provocative voice sounded behind him.

"Hmm..." Hearing the voice Yuan looked at his back and stared at the figure. It was the elder beside the dark-haired boy. He had a smile as if he was the ruler here.

"Excuse me, but who are you again?" Yuan asked as he didn't recognize the figure.

"Huh? What? Are you kidding me? Or are playing with me?" The elder spoke in an angry voice, he was irritated by Yuan. He thought Yuan was acting.

"Sorry if I sounded rude, but who are you? I really can't remember!" Yuan asked as he really had no idea who this guy is.

"Grrr..." The elder's voice became irritated and his body trembled from the anger.

"He is the Judge Elder of the Battles in here! The elder's name is Lin Hong!" A dignified voice sounded beside the elder. It was the dark-haired boy who spoke. "And I am Lin Tian, the one who challenged your disciple!"

"Hmmm... Lin Hong... Lin Hong... Huh! Now I remember! You are the guy whom I fought in the life-and-death battle four years ago. No wonder I couldn't remember... But how come you are an elder and there was no position as Judge Elder in the sect if I remember correctly..." Yuan recognized the man named Lin Hong after searching through his memories.

He fought with a guy who was at the 7th level of the Spirit Disciple Stage when he was 2nd level of the same stage. Their fight ended up in a draw and Yuan was seriously injured at that time, and so was his opponent too.

"You don't have to worry about it... Instead, tell me, why are you interfering with disciples' things? Let him fight, I order as Judge Elder of Battles!"

"Hmm... First I don't think the reason isn't that serious for this battle to become a life-and-death battle... Secondly, Huan is my disciple, therefore I can order him what to do..." Yuan spoke while slowly walking toward Lin Hong.

Suddenly, with one step Rong Yuan appeared before Lin Hong which startled everyone.

"Finally, I am an elder from the inner sect which states that my status is higher than yours... Besides, you are no true elder... So... Don't you dare to order me!" Yuan spoke coldly and his eyes shone with killing intent.

He looked directly into Lin Hong's eyes.

"Arghh..." Lin Hong became terrified just seeing Yuan's eyes. They were in a red blood color... "Demon... Get away from me!" He shouted and tried to push away Yuan, however, Yuan disappeared before Lin Hongng reached him...

{I just used a tiny amount of killing intent yet he is already scared... Sigh... He must have used pills and medicines to reach his current stage...} Yuan thought.

{What was that? Was that a demon? No... It was worse than a demon... His eyes... They were scary...} Lin Hong was thinking how terrifying was just now... If he didn't try to push Yuan away, his mentality would be unstable...

Seeing there was no action or response from Lin Hong, Yuan started to walk away.

"W-wait! Why aren't you letting him fight? Are you a coward as your disciple, huh?" Lin Tian shouted before Yuan arrived in front of Huan. He was controlling the situation before Yuan arrived and everything was going according to his plans.

He was enraged when Yuan ruined all of them so he tried to use his old technique, provocation.

He then came before Lin Hong and spoke angrily, he could only use his brother to fight.

"Brother Lin Hong! Why are you standing like this? Calm yourself down. He must have used some illusion technique, snap out of it!"

Ling Hong's expression changed as he heard the boy's words. {Illusion technique? Yes! Yuan must have used some kind of illusion! How the hell did I not realize it? I will show him!}

Lin Hong slowly regained his posture and stared at Yuan with malicious intent.

"Lin Tian... Thanks... You helped me to break out of illusion... Hey! Yuan! Let's fight as a man and settle our old grudges!" Lin Hong started to speak as he became full of himself again. "The match was a draw last time in the life and death battle. Let's fight again!"

"Yes, fight with my brother! And if you lose Huan has to fight with me!" Lin Tian also spoke as he regained his confidence. {I don't know how strong he is, but he is one level higher than my brother... I have to tell my brother to use that...}

Yuan was looking at him as he already sensed the newcomer's presence.

"Thank you for informing Young Master!" The figure landed beside the Lin brothers and bowed his head a little.

"Elder Ye Chen... Long time no see..." Yuan spoke coldly as he recognized the new elder. {He is fast as always when there is an opportunity for him... You betrayed your sect for money... I see it now... You were already corrupted...} He thought.

{That boy... Lin Tian is intelligent too... He must have called elder Ye Chen when I arrived... Huan may not have been able to handle him with his current self...} He also eyed Lin Tian which cause him to flinch in fear.

Elder Ye Chen was a member of the Ye Family but he was banished from the family for unknown matters and ended up finding a place in Lin Family's place. Then he entered the sect to become an outer sect elder with their help.

"Sure it is... This is the second time I will be referring between you and elder Lin Hong... It'll be interesting..." Ye Chen spoke.

"Now you can prepare for the battle."

Yuan came before Huan and spoke.

"Disciple, wait for a minute in below. When I finish this we will go to find your sister. Ok?"

"Yes, Master!" Huan spoke with respect. He now realized how dire his situation was. He was tricked by the hateful fellow, Lin Tian.

Huan looked at Lin Tian who was looking at him with a smug look and became angry. But he calmed himself down as he was confident in his Master's strength. He was sure of winning as he saw his Master's training yesterday.

When Huan and Lin Tian left the arena, Yuan looked at the air. {Let's check out the quest's contents...}
