Kevin Forsythia didn't mention one crucial point - Xi Fan didn't run away on his own accord, rather Kevin had intentionally let him escape.

The reason he released Xi Fan, instead of killing him himself, was to allow Alyssa to do the deed.

Only with Alyssa personally slaying Xi Fan could she establish enough prestige among the people, thus winning their hearts for the Forsythia Empire.

While doing this gave Xi Fan a chance for a breather...it wasn't important. For the ultimate victory, taking a bit of risk was worth it.

Alyssa's face was filled with seriousness: "But, my ancestor, I am now just a fourth order Mage, how am I supposed to kill a seventh order Xi Fan?"

"Don't worry about that, I have already planned for it," Kevin Forsythia confidently stated:

"This incarnation of mine is a pure energy form, with power around the peak of seventh order. I will dismantle this incarnation and channel all its energy into you, granting you the power to defeat Xi Fan."
