บท 16: Funeral

The woman is not as naive as I thought of her. At least, she got a thing called Brain. She requested food from me and I let her, after all, she earned it. I will be lying if I say I'm not impressed by her trick.

Her legs are trembling and I can witness the whip wounds over her legs when she climbed up on the railing. Blood is still flowing from her injuries.

She is thin and seemed to be malnutrition. But I didn't know what brought upon me when I caught her in my shirt with wet hair. It kind of felt hot and a desire to kiss her or hold her in my arms built inside me.

This woman a big Red flag for me. I didn't know why I just purchase her. I needed to rid of her and get a hold of my sanity. I turned off the shower and stopped the train of my thought.

After wearing my clothes and I peeked out from behind the curtains and a glass frame (a partition between the bed area and living areas of a room) She is stuffing herself with food and looking like a Hamster. The crumbs of food sticking to her face.

A smile crawled on my lips but I hurriedly shrugged off the feeling. I have no idea why but this woman making me weak and I'm not going to surrender to these feelings.

Afterward, I hurriedly get under the cover of a soft king-size bed to achieve some sleep. But in the middle of the night, I'm awakened by the same nightmare I'm harboring for years.

*pant *pant

I gulped down the water from a jug placed on the side table and attempted to catch my breath.

A few moments later, I'm finally feeling stable and tried to fetch a nap again but it appeared to be an impossible task for me and the reason is someone pierced through my thoughts.

" Fu*king damn it !!!!! "

I cursed under my breath when I failed in my mission because my thoughts are wrapped around a particular creature who shared my Suite.

I'm frustrated with myself but decided to peek at her. I came out from the bed and discovered her sleeping peacefully near the fireplace.

The blood from the wounds over her legs is all dried up with time but the marks are still visible. I took out an ointment from the First Aid Box and carefully applied it over her wounds.

I'm cautiously doing my job so I didn't revive her from her beauty sleep. The last thing I ever wanted is, for her to get up from her slumber and witnessed all my actions. She looked angelic while sleeping and for a moment I'm awestruck by her beauty.

" *chuckle....if you are my Angle then you are too late to approach your Devil...I wait for you for a long time and am all tired.....And I don't want an Angel now.....you will be there, where are you belong to."

I mumbled to myself and tossed the tube beside her before retiring for the night. Hopefully, I acquired some sleep if my nightmares didn't disturb me again.

The following morning, I accomplished my daily routine and stepped out of my closet wearing a brand-new black suit. And the reason is I need to attend a special occasion at home.

I'm feeling much better presently, even though I just earned only four hours of sleep but It just became a habit now.

She is still sleeping near the fireplace. I shook my head helplessly over her carelessness and left my suite right after consuming my breakfast.

Daniel followed me as I legged out of the suite. But I stopped him midway to the elevator and furnished him with some instructions regarding that woman. He nodded obediently and stayed behind to follow them.

I can't waste my time around her, I've more important things to do. I finally boarded my private jet and found my way back home. Perhaps, people can consider it as 'Hell' but for me, it's my house. A place where I learned every lesson and every tactic.

After some time the jet landed at my private airport and I turned to the castle along with Denial's team. I witnessed everyone dressed in black as I penetrated through the main door of the castle.

I turned in the direction of the ballroom. In the middle of the ballroom, a half-open casket is established. Everyone around it sent their farewells to the dead one. I observed Alexis' expressions from the corner of my eyes.

His eyes are cold and he is looking unbothered. His sight met mine and he gave me a nod out of respect. I reached out to the casket and kiss her hand as I placed a bouquet of white flowers beside her.

" Congratulations on a New life Sofi..."

I whispered in her right ear and left the ballroom. Alexis followed me immediately as we both proceed the route of my study.

" Is everything prepared...?"

I inquired about the situation professionally after grabbing a seat on my swirl chair behind the table. He knew what I'm talking about as he took a step closer to the table.

" Yes, Master.."

He replied to me obediently, low but sternly. He is looking at me as if a hundred questions are buried inside him and he is eager to let them out but his tongue betrayed him at the last moment.

" And there is a slave I purchased last night and She is from Vincent. I want to know everything about her. From name to age and even the origin of her birth. Daniel will bring her here and keep her with everyone else."

I dictated to him and he is looking at me as I grew horns on my head. I can understand him, I never purchased a slave in the past and he figured out I break one of my rules. It must be shocking for him.

" And Be careful about burial"

I added further when I realized he is too stunned to respond to me back within a moment. I didn't care what anyone think of me but that woman surely going to begin mayhem.

" Y...yes Master."

He finally collected his emotion and made a reply. He bowed his head and turned around his heels while leaving my study. He had a lot on his plate to handle and today is a most active day for him.

I closed my eyes and throw my head back on the headrest for a nap but a few moments later, I abruptly shook my head as my thought again traveled back to that woman.
