บท 32: Chapter 32: "The Light That Pierces the Darkness: Rose Vs Hex"
"Fire Magic: Fire Blast," said Hex, "Earth Shield" the wall of earth was engulfed in flames and crumbled, "she is strong but I won't lose, Earth Spikes," said Rose a couple of cone-shaped rocks came up out of the ground under Hex's feet, she levitated to avoid the attack, "I need to stay off the ground," said Hex.
She then flew up into the sky and pointed the staff at Evan, William, and Rose "Ball Of Fire: Meteoroids," Rose then placed her hands up with the Mace, "Repel," said Rose, and the attack was turned back on to Hex, "turning my own attack against me, clever but it will take more than that to stop me, Transformo," said Hex.
As she turned the meteoroids into black butterflies, "now let's see you stop my black butterflies, they will keep you from moving so I can have the Prince all to myself," said Hex as she waves her staff around, "get them!" shouted Hex, the swam of butterflies were heading for Rose, Evan, and William.
"Don't worry guys I won't let her harm you, Piercing Light," said Rose, the whole area lit up, and the butterflies were turned into light petals as they fell to the ground, the light that pierces the darkness.
"Rose is doing her best to protect me," said William, "I want some of the action too," said Evan, "no this is her fight so just let her do her thing," said William, "light magic? how rare my teacher Agatha would have been delighted to get a sample of you if she was here, she always got fascinated by rare things," said Hex.
"Wait did you say, Agatha, My teacher asked me to find out what happened to Agatha, was she your teacher?" asked Rose," what does that have to do with you, Agatha isn't around anymore and that's why I am here, said Hex, "it seems like they were very good friends when they were growing up," said Rose.
"Friends, She only talked of one person whom she was close to but she had to leave her behind cause she wanted to explore the world and learn new magic, she never saw her again, Beatrice was her name," said Hex.
"That's my friend, my teacher Agatha, the one who found me and took me in, cared for me, and made me happy," said Hex, "what really happened to Agatha?" asked Rose, "she was recruited for her talent with Dark Magic by the Dark Nation, she ran countless experiments, even on humans, until she was introduced to the possibilities of other dimensions, knowing her she didn't stop until she opened a door to another dimension and lost her life in the process for the sake of a power-driven madman Darius, the King of the Dark Nation."
"Oh, it's sad, she had to die like that, it's not easy losing the ones you love, Beatrice will be sad when she hears this," said Rose, "she doesn't need your pity, and neither do I but the Mace of Magic and the Prince, either would be just fine, with that I can have my revenge and I won't let you stand in my way anymore," said Hex.
"You are consumed by darkness, I see you really cared for Agatha but is this what she would want?" asked Rose.
"Enough talking, you know nothing of what she would want," said Hex, she gripped her staff tighter, a dark aura could be seen around her even the atmosphere changed, dark clouds started to gather and her face had black markings on it, "what is this power, I have never felt such hate and malice before," said Rose, "this doesn't look good," said Evan.
"Be ready Evan this could go sideways," said William, "just die, "let's see you repel this, Giant Dark Flame Orb," said Hex as she hurled it at them, "what the hell is that?" asked Evan, Rose then started to levitate, she turned to William and Evan with her glowing eyes and said, "I will protect you."
She then held the mace up and said "Light Blast," a bright beam of light went right through the Giant Dark Flame Orb, that Hex had hurled towards them it then disintegrated, Rose then teleported to where Hex was and the Mace clashed with the staff and cracked it, they started to move across the sky so fast, that all you could see were flashes of light within the clouds.
"Rose is really something else, I can hardly keep up with her movements," said Evan, "she has come a far way, I believe in her," said William.
"Where did this power come from, She is on par with me," thought Hex, "LightWave," said Rose, a wave of light went out from around her, repelling the dark clouds and hitting Hex away, "impressive but it's not enough," said Hex as the marking on her faces started to move, covering more of her skin.
The aura around her got dense and she got stronger, she then pointed her staff at Rose, and dark energy could be seen gathering at the head of it, "Dark Flames: Heat-Seeking Orbs!" shouted Hex, Rose flew further into the sky to draw all of the orbs to herself, explosions could be heard going off above the clouds.
"There is no escaping my heat-seekers," said Hex after the last explosion went off, "where is she, she should be falling out of the sky by now," said Hex.
Rose flew down through the clouds unharmed, above Hex, Hex was furious, she fired another round of heat seekers at her, Rose teleported before they could hit her, she reappeared a little closer to Hex with the orbs behind her, they turned around and started to follow her again, she flew off in Hex's direction and when she got closer to her she teleported, Hex was hit by her own attack.
After falling to the ground she started to go berserk, "no, no, no, no, I have to avenge her, no, no, no, I won't lose here," her face went black as she was totally consumed by the Dark Energy, she held her head up looking at Rose, she holds her staff with both hands and points it in Rose's direction.
Dark energy could be seen welling up around her, "our plans will come to life, even if it kills me, let me turn you to ash, Dark Flames: Soul Burner!" shouted Hex, Rose stretched out the Mace towards the attack, as it drew closer she said, "Teleport" and appeared before Hex, she then pressed the Mace into her stomach and said, "Divine Light: Dark Expeller."
