บท 93: He Who Respects Her

The drive back to his house was silent. As much as I wanted to ask him about his sudden permission and the wedding thing, I wasn't ready to talk about it just yet. 

"Five years away, and traffic still reigns," I said. 

Dang, Manila to Quezon City traffic was never-ending. I could see some new infrastructures. But other than that, the only thing that added more where the cars that were on the road.

"Are you okay lass?"Duncan asked me. I was surprised that he had a car here. Given his ability to move from place to place. It would be better for him to use it and tag another person along. Alas, he cannot. 

"Traffic," was all I could say. 

"Ah yes, we don't have much back home. Inverness and other major cities have their share of traffic," he replied, he then took my hand ns placed it on his thigh before he asked again, "Are you okay?"
