Why?

For no other reason than the fact that Jake was the one who could make Lotte kept on smiling.

Seeing their own daughter so happy with Jake and even sneaked out when they didn't see, the two of them knew very well that it was impossible to separate these two. Even if they were not completely satisfied with Jake, they still accepted this arrangement and allowed the two to date each other.

"My father wishes that you can be more responsible and think more of the future." Lotte laughed. "But for me, I can be the one to take that role instead."
