บท 25: Chapter 25: Where am I?

The teleportation array shone with a golden brilliance before Richie felt his entire body being sucked into thin air.

It felt like his whole body had been compressed and dragged through a tiny hole.

"so this is what a teleportation array looks like when it's in action" Richie said inwardly.

the area around Richie was a deep purple with green and blue flashing periodically. Richie seemed to be moving through a wormhole like structure, Richie was actually moving so fast that everything around him was extremely blurry, a blur of dark colours.

This went on for a couple more seconds before Richie saw a blinding white light in front of him, he could just barely make out the shape of the thing behind it, it was the whirlwind Valley.

Richie closed his eyes as he did not wish to get blinded, a few seconds later, he opened his eyes, yet he did not see the whirlwind Valley, nor the light.

What he saw was an endless abyss which seemed to stretch on forever. Richie felt a great amount of force fall on his body as he was propelled at a speed so fast he couldn't even think properly.

- Activating anti cosmic forces-

Sudden, Richie regained clarity and could see fully around him without powerful pressure falling on him.

" System, what just happened?" Richie asked the system

- You absorbing most of the qi in the array made it unstable and unable to teleport you properly-

- The spatial tunnel you were travelling in was extremely flimsy and broke just after you closed your eyes, it sent you into the great abyss- The system explained.

- You are going to want to be extremely careful here, you don't want to attract the attention of a-

" AAH! " Richie screamed

" sorry what were you saying, I saw a face nearby, but it's gone now"

The system: "-"

- You're a lost cause-

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT" Richie exclaimed, in front of him was a gigantic fish-like being made of the dark stuff around Richie.

- That is an abyssal demon, it is made out of cosmic matter, Abyssal demons hunt for any life forms they can find, by making so much noise, you attracted its attention- The system explained

" Can I kill it?" Richie asked

- Hell no, who do think you are, a god? That thing could kill you by breathing on you- The system was once again dumbfounded by Richie's naivety.

*GRRR* everything around Richie shook as the Abyssal demon turned its head slowly to look at Richie.

" Shoot"

Richie turned around and started to run, too bad he couldn't, he felt like he was trying to run on air, something impossible unless you reach a ridiculously high realm.

- Just keep moving forward and pray-

" That's not helpful" Richie shouted in desperation.

The Abyssal demon (who was thousands of meters tall and wide) stared at Richie with hunger, its eyes turned a deep blue as Richie felt his consciousness fade.

" No, no I can't die now, I haven't gotten revenge yet"

Richie almost bit his tongue off as he desperately held on to the last bit of consciousness he had.

The Abyssal demon's eyes then turned a shed of deep green, Richie's vision faded as he lost consciousness, the Last thing he heard was painful screeching and... glass shattering?

"Ugh, what happened?" Richie just barely managed to open his eyes, his entire body was aching, it was a challenge to even open his eyelids.

- That's the most basic response I've ever heard to a situation like this-

- I don't quite know what happened, I think the Abyssal demon was too strong for the abyss it was residing in and therefore it shattered and brought you here-

" Well where are we then"

- I also don't know, of you give me a couple of days, I might be able to find out where we are-

- but I will have to leave for that time period-

" Nope, your staying with me, were going to find out where we are together" Richie had already gotten used to the system being around him so he didn't want it to leave just yet.

Richie then crushed his distress bead, It didn't seem to do anything, that didn't surprise Richie, he doubted that even the head of the alchemy guild would know where he was now.

Richie then took another look at his surroundings, he seemed to be in a cavern, he could hear water dripping so he knew he was near a water source.

The cavern was extremely dark and Richie could only see because of his cultivation, as a cultivator, the higher you advance, the better your night vision.

Currently, Richie's night vision was extremely poor, yet he could still vaguely see where he was.

The cavern had one exit which was in the form of a 3 meter tall exit. Richie then started to walk towards it.

-This place is interesting, so much danger- The system said to itself

" What dangers?" Richie asked, he definitely knew there were dangers but if the system knew what they were, he would be able to prepare beforehand.

- Where's the fun in that, you won't be able to grow if you don't experience unexpected dangers-

The passageway Richie was currently walking through was extremely humid, he could feel the sweat beginning to form on his body.

"Ah, clipped myself" Richie exclaimed as his right arm caught a protruding rock, there was a strange glow on his right arm, the wound he just recently patched up with his qi began to erode outwards bringing great pain.

- Ding-

- reward: minor immunity towards death energy and wound cauterization

" Death corrosion what's th- AAARGH MY ARM" Richie shouted in pain as his arm started to wither.

- You're on you own on this one, I cant help you with this, but the death corrosion effect has not completely infected your body, you still have hope- The system told Richie

- Well, if you die, at least you wont have the Wang clan on your back- The system tried to console Richie

"I have somthing you can help me with, SHUTTING UP SO I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HELL I SHOULD BE DOING"
