The day of the tournament arrived, it was more about show of strength than a tournament and that's because tournaments need audiences. This was completely different from previous tournaments held by Leoric himself in the past, he always wanted audiences and the arena was always full to witness the fighting between his Killers. 

Leoric took pride in showing off his assets, the news about his Killers travelled all over the realm because of these tournaments he held every year. The best ones would fight till the end, the weak ones died and strong ones survived. For years the good folks of the Mines witnessed the best fights from the Killers, and they turned out to be the best showcase of strength and entertainment to other people who travelled to the Mines.
