This was the first time I had seen Yeal Viridian; a tall man in his early forties with slight Korean features. His face was gentle and his eyes soft, a kind of nurturing gaze emanated from them and brought a sense of comfort. It was as though there was no way that he would say anything that would be against your interest.

But yet this was the same man who had ordered Sierra to kill me in the most brutal way that she could. Behind the gentle and kind eyes was the soul of a ruthless killer, a killer who was now prepared to speak to the world in order to manipulate the narrative.

I gripped Zale’s hand for comfort.
