ARIANNE POV
There was too much tension around, it could not have gone unnoticed without anyone comimg right out and declaring it. Candlelight was unstable and dancing over the walls and the quietude could have been felt. I ignored it and gracefully seated myself into the chair next to Azar who sat at the head of the long, fancy table.
The silverware shone bright in the rather low light and the aroma pervading the dining area focused on the sumptuous meal that had otherwise been served to us. It was apparent that our guests were a little bit tense, but I had fun all the same feeling a surge of tranquillity overtaking. Actually, the only people who were quite comfortable, were me, Azar, Ravenna and of course the servants and the guards.
