"I told you I wanted her out of there." Rowan's voice thundered as he paced back and forth in the room.
Dalikah's gaze followed him lazily, her fingers lifting a goblet of wine to her lips.
"I thought you said you didn't care about the human, Lowak."
Rowan gritted his teeth, looking straight at her.
He hated to be called that name, it reminded him too much of his Father and she knew that.
"Rowan."
His intention of pushing his actions towards things that would satisfy her was long gone, his incubus raging at the news he had just heard.
He wanted to dig his claws into Dalikah's chest and see what her heart looked like, if it would look like the multiple hearts he had pulled out from many who had dared to go against him, then replace the empty bloody hole that would be left in her chest afterward with pieces of her snake.
That thought would have to just stay in his head for now, the time wasn't right to bring it to life.
