บท 37: [Bonus chapter] Gaze Of Trouble

I could hear the sound of my own breathing, it almost sounded too loud in my ears from how silent this place was. 

There were treasures everywhere, piles of gold, chests of it. This level of wealth was something I had never seen before. The dazzling treasures did not distract my mind from the monsters Rowan said were sleeping in, around, and beneath the cave.

There was a monster behind me right now, the slumber a peaceful one, and the breath, disgusting, as it puffed out air from its mouth, in its sleep.

It was 50 times my size laying down and it would be more, if it were to stand up in anger from someone disturbing its sleep. 

I averted my gaze from it, afraid that I would squeak if I stared, and took in more of its features. This monster looked more like what was in the Unit's database. At least, we were right about some of our guesses. 

They existed. The Unit would be so glad when I tell them this, on my return.
