บท 453: The Book

Joseph blinked a couple of times while anticipating Lucia's reply. He showed interest in her and was willing to listen to her story without thinking he might make her uncomfortable. 

"Don't be shy?" Joseph stated, chuckling after seeing Lucia's troubled expression. "Are you perhaps looking for your lover that goes missing in the forest?" he asked additionally. 

"N-No! Why do you think like that!?" Lucia exclaimed and stood up. She turned her back to avoid Joseph from seeing her reddened face. 

"Haha! That's good. I'm sorry! Did I tease you so much?" Joseph laughed delightfully, but his expression changed and became serious. 

"Are you planning to… kill yourself?" Joseph added.

It was no surprise if the forest was used by people who wanted to commit su1cide as it was prevalent to happen. The bodies would either rot and become food for the plants or be eaten by wild animals.
