บท 123: The Abandoned Deal

"Why does he want Scarlett that badly? It can't be love. He doesn't seem like the person who would even know what love is. Then what is it that drives him so crazy about Scarlett?" Ezra asked, not showing any emotions on his face.

He waited for Garry's answer who was hesitating to try to find a logical answer. 

"It is…" He smirked, "Scarlett's existence, she is the most precious possession in the underworld anyone can have."

Ezra's heart skipped a beat, in fear. "What do you mean by that? She's a human being, she's not some prize to keep for decorating someone's ego."

"Careful with your words Ezra Knight, you don't want to anger me with those pathetic insults you are throwing at my boss." Garry says. "She was born like that, her value in the underworld is much more than what you make monthly, Ezra."

"Why is she that valuable? Who is she?" Ezra asked, tired of being in the dark. "Why does she have that kinda value?"
