Damien and Suzanne sat together for breakfast. To break the ice between them, Suzanne initiated the conversation.
"Why doesn't Prince Damien tell me where he used to live after he escaped the deadly fire?" Suzanne asked with a curious gaze.
Damien lifted his eyes from the plate and put the fork on it. Clasping his hands together, he said, "I thought I had told you."
"No, you didn't," Suzanne replied.
"Umm... An old man saved my life. He had a great knowledge of medicine. He took care of me for a long time," Damien replied and gazed at the fresh orange juice in the glass.
He picked it up and took a few sips.
"Did Prince Damien learn the medicine from this old man?" Suzanne queried.
"Yes. He was my mentor. I worked with him for a few years, treated patients with him until I crossed paths with Juan, father of Knight Rainard," Damien explained.
Suzanne got curious to know and asked him how he found Juan. "Did you come to the capital before?" she asked.
