บท 352: First night [Bonus chapter]

After bidding farewell to his in-laws and returning to his chamber, Damien refreshed himself and changed into more comfortable attire before entering the bedchamber.

He pushed the door lightly and stepped in. To his surprise, Suzanne was sleeping on the bed. "It's a relief that she's asleep," Damien murmured.

"I'm not asleep," Suzanne suddenly pronounced and opened her eyes. She sat upright on the mattress and gazed at him. "You already changed the dress," she mumbled.

"Because the dress was uncomfortable," Damien replied and turned to close it.

"What about me? I need to change too. Did you bring a dress for me?" Suzanne inquired.

"Did the maidservant not give you?" Damien queried.

Suzanne shook her head. "No, she did not," she replied.

"I will ask her," Damien said and tried opening the door but it was closed from the outside. "They closed the door from outside," he muttered.
