Édouard and Charlotte went to see Queen Anneliese after the news about her sickness spread in the palace. They were surprised to find King Christian present with the Queen.

"Your mother is asleep," Christian said.

"What happened to her suddenly? She was doing well yesterday," Édouard said with a concerned look.

"Your mother has a fever. The physician checked her earlier and gave her the medicine. That's why she is asleep," Christian said and asked Édouard not to be worried.

"Then, why Father is with her? He never stayed with my mother whenever she got sick," Édouard stated.

Charlotte held his arm and asked him to stay quiet.

"Your mother may get disturbed, so it is better for you to go rather arguing with me," Christian said. His voice was hoarse yet low.

"We will come later, Your Majesty," Charlotte said and took Édouard out of the bedchamber. She scolded him for getting at his father. "Is this the way you are turning your relationship better with your father?"
