"Believe it or not, just ask these Orcs! Hey! Orcs! Is your master the evil dragon?"
"You are correct, this spellcaster sir, our master is the dragon you speak of." The half-orc shaman said back.
With a bitter smile in his heart, he actually did persuade Rand to hide his identity at first.
But Rand thought carefully, as well as discussing with the other spell casters, and eventually chose to just announce it.
If he didn't disclose it, it would be harder to find someone to accept the job, since he was in the outer city and hiding his identity, and he was so secretive.
No sane person would be willing to accept such an employer.
It wasn't easy to kidnap a waistcutter.
This time, we are looking for a talented mission from the academy, people who already have good prospects and are much more alert than those down-and-out mages.
So let's all be honest, even if we are recognised, but at least we can prove that Gintal is real!
There would always be some willing to take the bait for Gentar's sake when the time came.
He wasn't afraid of not finding talent!
For this reason he was even willing to hemorrhage money!
And with this move, it would also give these caster talents a bottom in their hearts, giving them a sense of solidity after knowing each other.
This would make them unconsciously think that after Rand's identity was revealed, he would be afraid of the few great mages in the city and would not dare to do anything excessive to the spellcasters in the city.
"It's actually true?"
At this, the spellcasters were stunned.
It was followed by a roaring outburst as a group of people wailed and shouted.
"Damned evil dragon goons! You plundered merchants on the trade routes of the two countries, and you still dare to appear before us! What a death wish!" Some of the spell casters immediately became furious, and their magical power began to fluctuate violently.
"Stop it! This is the Mage Tower! Even if you want to do it, don't do it here! Or Archmage Ransom will pick your skin!"
"Shall we go and report this to the Archmages so they can get rid of this for the people!"
"You're crazy! Don't you know how busy the Grand Masters are? Besides, even if they do, they might not be able to take down that evil dragon!
If he gets away, then things won't be good! Unless the three Archmages all came together.
But the Archmages have been too busy researching spells how could they really go against that evil dragon."
"Damn it! This kind of evil dragon sends his dependents straight to our city and there's nothing we can do about him?"
"That dragon has the guts to send his dependents in such a big way, he's already very powerful! Besides, this is a lord dragon, who knows how many dependents he has under him ...
The consequences of messing with him at will are unthinkable."
The group of spell casters were all feeling a bit tricky as they talked.
It was also true that a youthful, or adult, gargoyle dragon who had great strength, amazing stamina, a huge body, and a natural flight advantage in their own right, was very difficult to mess with.
Even if they are defeated, it is still very difficult to kill them!
I heard that the whole continent, there are quite a few places, are occupied by some gigantic dragons and become a forbidden area for human beings ...
Only some legendary super-evil dragons that are vicious and murderous will actually draw some legendary existences out, or make all the forces unite to exterminate them.
Otherwise, few beings were willing to offend these guys.
"Have you discussed this? We will stay in this city for three more days, and those who are willing to study spells for my master at that time, we will bring back together."
The old shaman spoke up again at this point.
"You are joking! Who would go and study spells for an evil dragon! I think you'd better get the hell out of Grimm City!" Some of the spell casters shouted in excitement.
But just then, one shouted.
"I will follow you to meet your master! Accept his employment!"
When the crowd heard this, they all looked aghast and turned their heads to look.
It was a young man of about twenty-three years of age, his hair somewhat dishevelled, his body dressed in the cheapest of blue robes, and not even a staff in his hand.
The whole person revealed a poor look.
"It's Amos! This guy has a lot of guts! But his talent isn't enough to make him accept employment, is it?"
"Right! This guy is just a level 1 spell caster, what does he want to do?"
"Don't say that, this guy Amos, even though he's a level 1 spell caster, you can't blame him, a natural born magic depleter, he's actually a pretty amazing guy in his own right, has improved quite a few level 0 tricks all by himself, I've studied his spells, they're really very good."
"Level 0 spells, ah, thanks for saying that."
A group of spell casters, showed a lot of controversy about this spell caster.
"Welcome, friend named Amos! Meet here again in three days, at nine in the morning, when we will bring all the spellcasters who are willing to accept employment, and together we will meet my master."
The old shaman was a little surprised, but nodded.
"Amos! I advise you not to do this, whether you can develop the spells the other side needs is not to say, and even if you succeed, what credibility do you think an evil dragon, has?
Let the greedy evil dragon, give you 200 gintar, this in joke even people believe?"
Sax Mette, who had previously indicated his acceptance of the hire, spoke up to warn.
"Thank you for your kindness, give it a try, otherwise I can't go on like this, can I?" Amos said with a bitter smile.
"Humph! Well then, whatever you want! I hope this isn't the last time I see you!" With a somewhat cold expression, Sachs-Met simply left after he finished speaking.
The recruitment continued.
The next day.
Inside the city of Grimm, inside a tavern box.
Five spell casters were sitting together.
On each of their spell robes, the flowers of magic that represented their rank were all above ten, and the largest one even had a full fourteen snatches!
"North! What do you mean by summoning us here?"
One of the five couldn't help but inquire, a bald-headed spellcaster with a full thirteen spell flowers embroidered on his robes.
"Have you heard about what happened over at the Mage Tower?"
An extraordinarily stout man with fourteen spell flowers on his chest, about forty years old, answered back.
"What? You want to apply for a job? You're short of that 200 gintar?"
The bald man sneered.
The others could not help but laugh as well:.
"Oh, 200 gintals, naturally I'm not short of it, but those tens of thousands of gintals! I'm in short supply!" The burly mage said rather thoughtfully.
"You ... want to rob a lord gargoyle?" A spellcaster exclaimed, looking somewhat incredulous.
"What? You guys are afraid? You don't want the tens of thousands of gentals?"
"Who doesn't want tens of thousands of gentals, but that is a lord dragon ... with an unknown number of dependents under him, do you want to go looking for death?"
"Humph! You idiots! You only know about the lord dragon, but I went back to the tavern yesterday and snooped around.
Do you know how big that dragon is?
It's only about nine metres long, so it's just a teenager, or at most a young dragon!
Even if it was a red dragon! Combining the strength of a few of us, we still can't take it down?"
"What about the dependents?" Another spellcaster expressed concern.
"No one knows exactly how many dependents there are, but thousands? Do you think an adolescent or youthful dragon can have that many dependents? Don't be ridiculous! Within the two kingdoms, some of the dark races have either been taken in straight away or swept away, where would they be left for that evil dragon?
In my opinion, he would be lucky to find a couple of hundred dependents!
Combining the five of us, against a teenage, or young dragon, plus a couple of hundred dependents, you don't think we have a chance of winning?"
"And what if?"
"What if? If he really has that many dependents, then we'll just give him an honest study of spells! Wouldn't that be fine? What loss could we suffer? Hmm?"
The next moment, the spell casters present, all revealed a smile of understanding.
