That night, the two young women lay in bed chatting until late, with two small lamps lit in the bedroom, casting a hazy light.

Tara Summer often turned her head to look at Emily Stone beside her. Emily was wearing loose pajamas and still had her glasses on, so Tara couldn't help but ask, "Emily, do you sleep with your glasses on?"

"Just habit..." Emily replied with just that and then closed her eyes to sleep.

Tara slightly propped herself up and stared at the closed eyes of the woman, and for some reason, she felt there had to be a reason for Emily wearing her glasses, which made her very curious!

So, Tara lay back down, but she didn't fall asleep, her eyes wide open. She waited for an hour until she heard soft snoring from beside her, then she slowly sat up.

She turned up the bedside lamp a little bit and then crept closer to Emily.

Tara observed the woman's face for a long while and softly called her name twice to make sure she was asleep before gently taking off her glasses.
