บท 3: Entering The Game
Once his own status screen was projected in front of him he was elated.
'Wow...' Zoom's face lit up.

Zoom read through his stats with a curious expression, he vividly remember beta players theorising that the beginner stats that you would obtain reflected the real world you.
On the top right Zoom saw an equipment section for the screen and clicked it instantaniously.
On the screen appeared Zoom with his character having a complete resemblance to his actual face and build.
He was fit but no too muscular, Zoom would regularly exercise from time to time, he has blue hair with crystal blue eyes.
Zoom's character wore plain clothes that were softer and more comfortable than the clothes he wore in the real world, Zoom could clearly feel the clothes that wrapped around him which was a new feeling for him.
'Has technology really gotten this far? Alien tech sure is amazing.'
That was right, from what Zoom knew First World Online was not created by humans but by other intelligent alien species.
Many galactic civilizations were currently in a peace treaty and are in cooperation with each other.
Zoom went back to the stats screen to pick a name.
'Zoom.'
Zoom quickly typed his name.
"This name is available!" Zoom was elated.
He sighed.
'That was close, luckily it's still available.' He thought, this was one of the reasons he was eager to start the game early, not only for the early advantage but for his name to still be available.
"You may choose a class!"
Zoom contemplated for a bit about the idea of choosing a class.
'Classes can be changed, but there will be penalties and has requirements for changing...'
...
'If I choose now I might regret it, from what I remember you can obtain unique classes in special occasions... Alright I'll just skip picking a class for now and try to obtain a unique one, I can always go and pick a class anytime I want, the same goes for the stat points, I'll save them up for now as well.'
"I'll not pick a class for now." Zoom said.
"Which beginner weapon and armor would you like to choose!"
There was a wide array of weapons and armour, from the plethora of games he has played, he usually was a ranged player but with only one point in mana he chose a normal bow with a dagger.
Paired with the bow he chose leather armour, it's light which won't hinder his movements too much but has higher defensive capabilities compared to cloth robes.
"You may enter the world! Once you click enter you will be may choose to be teleported to any city in any of the three first planets." A new screen abruptly appeared after he chose his beginner weapons and armour which contained the word 'enter'.
Zoom smile brightened before he clicked enter.
More choices on where he would spawn were displayed in the screen, he already expected these choices since he has watched many videos of beta players enter before.
Zoom including his parents and sister have already agreed on which location they would first spawn on which is the city of 'Cevy' located on the planet of 'Ell'.
The city of Cevy isn't the biggest and most certainly doesn't have the most resources, it does have the least players with most of the players choosing bigger city that have more resources like the capital of the planet.
After choosing where he would like to be teleported bright white light covered his vision as he felt he was being lifted off the ground.
The white light soon disappeared and he appeared in a city, Zoom was standing on the sidewalk as the many cars shot by.
Skyscrapers rose high in the sky almost piercing the clouds, floating platforms, boards and many different vehicles were carefully cruising through past the many buildings.
The streets were filled with crowds of people as they walked by which Zoom thought to be the NPCs.
It was early in the morning as the sun rays lit up the city, it was summer season so the atmosphere felt hot.
The whole city was filled with lights and loud music, more and more players were spawning in the city with lights raining down from the sky, it was overall very lively.
'It feels so real!' Zoom thought, It did felt real.
'A streak of light?' Zoom faced the sky where a streak of bright white light landed on the ground, after disappearing there appeared another person.
'Another player huh?' Zoom thought and moved on afterwards.
Trying to find quests Zoom walked around looking at NPC's that seemed to be troubled, or he would sometimes strike a conversation with random NPC trying his luck.
After a few minutes of walking and talking with roaming NPC's he still haven't received a single quest dropping his morale.
Sigh
Zoom shook his head and clenched his hands.
'Alright it's only been a few minutes, It would take on average longer than ten minutes for a beginner to find a quest so my predicament isn't uncommon.' He thought.
"Oh no!"
Though it was a shout, with how bustling the city is with all the rockets, engines and music that filled the city with Zoom's perception at nine, he was barely able to hear it.
He turned to a corner and on the side of the street there was a pharmacy where a man that looked to be in his forties was panting with both his hands on his head.
The man was behind the counter and wore what seemed to be a uniform.
'Got you!' Zoom's eyes brightened and a grin appeared on his face, this might be a quest!
He quickly rushed over before any other player were to talk to the man before him.
Zoom entered the store and approached the man alerting him.
