บท 44: Chapter 44: Holding onto You

I am out of breath. My muscles ache. When did this happen? I’m not out of practice. I thought I was fit. I lift weights. I run. I keep a very healthy regimen of rest and exercise. I dance and sing on stage. One of the things I pride myself in on stage is an effortless-looking performance even though hours of rehearsal and physical strain went into it.

However!

The moment Felix is in the room teaching me something that may help protect me, I am absolutely breathless and sweating up a storm.

I get there are different muscles to exercise, but this was an entirely different feeling of inadequacy. What makes it worse is Felix makes it all look so easy and teases me, albeit lovingly, about my physical abilities.

So, out of breath, I roll over on my floor and stare at the ceiling.
