Lihar had many advantages of normal mages. His body was as powerful and as fast as most Magi's spells and most normal attacks couldn't even hurt him. But the biggest advantage he had over them was that he did not need to reveal his intent before attacking.
It was difficult for a mage to ambush another mage because on average, there was a 5 to 10 second delay between their intent leaking and the spell manifesting.
Lihar, however, had no worries about getting discovered. Longsword in one hand, he dashed towards Eskaton, who was coldly glancing at the many spells flying towards him from the other side.
Only when Lihar was twenty steps away from him, Eskaton noticed the sudden assailant. But that was way too late. Lihar put some effort into his legs and jumped the remaining distance. His body was already in stance to swing so in only a couple seconds, his sword would already be right beside his enemy's neck.
