บท 147: A Good show 1

The Nie family's Secondary branch residence, Duchess Fu courtyard.

The duchess's middle-aged maid rushed into the bedroom after meeting with the steward. She passed at the door as her gaze fell on her sobbing mistress lying on the bed.

The bed curtains had all been pulled up, there wasn't any other maid in sight. Duchess Fu had sent them all away much earlier.

Duchess Fu had not said anything since the eldest young master was officially pronounced dead. She was in very low spirits, within two months she had lost two of her children.

The Duchess's current mood worried her maid, who held her skirt up and rushed to the Duchess's bedside. 

She bent low and gently shook her mistress's shoulder, "Your Grace, Your grace, Your_"

"What is it," Duchess Fu said in a very low tone, still facing the wall with her eyes shut.

"The Crown Prince and Princess are here, Your Grace".
