บท 44: Love is fickle

THE IMPERIAL PALACE, THE SEVENTH PRINCE PAVILLION.

The Seventh prince's servant Chuanli ran into the room and shut the door. Xiang Yize looked up from his book as the room dimmed, his brows furrowed as his servant rushed to his side.

"Your Highness! there was an incident at the Hall of virtues and it involves the Crown Prince".

"The Crown Prince?"

"Yes, your Highness. it is a major event, the Grand Chancellor and ministers were called in. The entire inner palace is on lockdown right now".

Xiang Yize rolled the wooden scroll and leaned back, "the inner palace houses the women of the Emperor's haram, what was the crown prince doing there?"

Chuanli pressed his lips together and let out a breath. He was too embarrassed to say all that he heard but with how major this was.
