บท 30: Suppressing Shen Fei
In reality, Alan didn't take action because he noticed that Huyan Lanruo wasn't planning to go all the way with him.
He wanted to make her even more desperate. This was a woman who stated that she would make him a slave under her skirt. Thus, Alan planned to make her his personal bitch.

All the students in the library were shocked to see Xiao Ning'er hugging Alan like that. Suddenly, some students barged inside the library.

Shen Fei had arrived!

Shen Fei was dazed upon seeing that gesture. He thought that Alan would be too shocked or embarrassed to make a move in his presence. But his guts were truly very great.
Staring at Xiao Ning'er, Shen Fei spoke with a sneer, "I knew you weren't happy with our engagement, but I wasn't worried since no one would dare to go against the Sacred Family for a declining Noble Family. But who would have thought that you would use my own brother to protest against the engagement?"
Those words instantly got the crowd talking. They all began to speak about how Xiao Ning'er had created a crack between the brothers. Or how manipulative Xiao Ning'er was.

Alan pulled her into his hug before staring at Shen Fei, "Well, your personality leaves much to be desired. It's not surprising that she protested against this marriage. Anyone else would have done the same."
"…Hmph. You are merely a kid who is being used without his knowledge. Getting angry at you would be a waste," Shen Fei spoke with a disdainful look.
"Well, this same kid is going to break your engagement as well. I will request our father, and he will definitely consider it deeply once he finds out about my relationship with Ning'er. It doesn't matter to our father who marries her. It just has to be someone with the Sacred Family's bloodline. "STOP!" The librarian immediately arrived as he saw Alan was about to get punched by Shen Fei.
Shen Fei snorted upon hearing that shout and stopped. He spoke with a sneer, "The librarian saved you."
Alan smirked in return, "Your delusion amuses me, brother."
The librarian soon arrived and asked what happened. The students soon informed the librarian of the entire matter.
The librarian began to lecture Shen Fei, but the latter disregarded his words and left.
Meanwhile, Xiao Ning'er quickly hugged Alan and spoke, "You didn't need to do all that."
"Yes, I did," Alan corrected Xiao Ning'er. He further explained, "If I didn't stand up to him now, he would have bullied both of us. Don't worry, I know how to handle him."
"…Alright," Xiao Ning'er spoke.
The two soon split and returned to their respective family mansions!
After Alan returned to the family mansion, he was summoned in the main hall. He could guess the reason behind this summon and was happy. It saved him the trouble of looking for Shen Hong.
At this moment, Shen Hong was waiting for Alan in the Meeting Hall with Shen Fei sitting right in front of him.
There was a calm expression on Shen Hong's face that made it difficult to guess what he was thinking.
