The vagueness of the apology ended in silence. Tommy did seem to show his reluctance to apologize. To him, it wasn't entirely his fault, while all Becca wanted was his sincere apology.
Becca didn't talk about it anymore either, since she knew how hard it was for Tommy to say things like that. Until when they got to the apartment, Becca changed her clothes, and then she was ready to go out again.
"Where are you going?" asked Tommy, blocking her path.
"To a friend's place. Get out of my way. I don't have anything to do here, right? So I want to refresh," Becca replied.
"You're still not fully recovered, Rebecca."
But Becca ignored Tommy's words and just walked away, slamming the apartment door. Tommy sighed and started to get frustrated by stroking his hair. He rolled his long sleeves up and followed Becca from behind. However, he had to take care of her even from afar.
