ตอน 40: The only chance
General pov....
Guy with copper skin stood at little distance from ethan and said "you don't look too well. But that's given. you did kill many of my soldiers. but don't think, I'll go easy because of that." he said as he ran toward ethan and started his assault on ethan.
Ethan was calm and had focused all his attention on his enemy. he had already heighten all of his reflexes and senses by aura. so he dodged first attack without difficulty...
He had to stoll for time to recover his aura. he was still gathering aura while fighting. medicine that he took just minute ago gave him little amount of aura directly. while also helping him in recovring aura little faster while moving. Even With his efforts and effect of medicine. It was still nearly 10 time slower than when he meditates. But he had no other choice.
He dodge quite few attacks and continued to do so. Longer he saw how powerfull the attacks of that guy were. he didn't dare to think about attacking him recklessly. Ethan had already guessed that normal attack wouldn't work on him. So he continued to avoid direct confrontation.
But with time he started to become slower. his dodging efficiency decreased and finally ethan made mistake and got heavy blow in the end.
Ethan thrown away little far while scraping against the ground. He stood with hus tattered coat, his arms were hanging down without moving, his leg shacking.
Seeing that coppered skin guy said with sneer "is dodging's all you can do. you disappointed me... let's end this then. Remember that your pathetic life was ended by the naiman of sigma brothers."
With help of his medicine Ethan had recovered desent amount of aura in those 10 minutes. Which was enough to initiate his new technique - "his awakning."
He had already used it while ago when all the soldiers were gathered around and ambushed him earlier. If hawkeye knew this he would have gotten the answer of his question. The flash red light frome before was nothing else but awakning of ethan. He had used it only with his left hand at that time. It was still far from perfect and side effects of using it were nothing to scoffed at. Condition of ethan's left hand earlier was proof of it.
Naiman took out his knuckles as he finished his words. His eyes shone in bright yellow and so did his knuckles as he shot himself straight at ethan. who was standing just little far, with head looking down.
but when the punch was about to touch him rather then trying to avoid it. ethan looked up and said "time to kick back." as ethan said those words. His eyes glowed red. Golden marks began to appear on his right leg. the golden marks were shining brightly making them visible even through his clothes.
As The marks shone brightly, the thick red glow covered ethan's whole leg. swallowing the surrounding in red light.
The shining Red light blocked the vision of naiman and just second before his punch can hit ethan, ethan jumped up and with a forward flip he landed a kick on naiman's head with his glowing leg. (copper skined guy = naiman)
Before naiman can see beyond the red light, he felt heavy hit on back of his head. ethan's kick connected with back of naiman's head and shock wave spread in surrounding. Naimans head hit the ground making crater with "boomm !!".
all naiman knew was that his face was on the ground and intense pain was impulsing through back of his head.
"how...??" he muttered in shock. as he lost consciousness.
Ethan was also flunged away by shock wave of his attack and fell on the ground little far from naiman. he was grinding his teeth in pain, clunching his right leg with both of his hands. All this happened in just span of few seconds.
From the moment their fight had started. Ethan new that he can't let this guy roam around freely. He was too dangerous for that. So escaping was out of question. He had to deal with him right here, right now.
All that happened here was the last moment plan of ethan. After getting hit few times he acted as if he was unable to fight and waited for his chance which he got. He had gouged that this enemy was not someone he can take on in straight fight.
So he had to take hum off gaurd and end it all in single strike. Using his awakning was very painfull but if he had a chance of winning he was ready to bear it and in the end he did succeeded.
ethan tryied stand up but fell down again after few more attempts and struggle he finally managed to stand up. His left hand hasn't fully recovered but now his leg had also became useless. Red, swollen and full of visible veins.
"I had to kill him before he wakes up." ethan thought and started to walk toward unconscious enemy. He draged his leg, swallowing his urge to scream from pain but still kept moving.
Ethan reached near naiman. Ethan saw him laying on the ground. He was unconscious. Ethan observed that the guy on the ground. He didn't even had any serious injury and just got little bleeding from back of his head.
Which made ethan even more desperate to kill him quickly And only reason ethan's attack work was because it had hit on the head. Ethan didn't knew if he would get the chance to kill this monster again if he woke up.
And that last attack of his. Ethan can only guess how badly he would have died if he was hit by it.
Ethan moved toward naiman and used his ice element to freez his whole head. but before he can strike to shatter it. Ethan pulled his head backward and saw a bim of laser getting passed before his eyes.

I already had mentioned "the awakning" in previous chapters. but for readers who doesn't remember or who are still confused. i will explain it again.
Awakning is technique or unique ability that every aura user can create after reaching certain amount of auara capacity and high level of control.
Aura user can create it with his own creativity and imagination. but more powerful the awakning would be, more set back it would have and much harder it would be to master it. so user have to create it as much logical as he possible.
as for what kind of ability ethan have as his awakning... you will know the specifics in later chapters. so seat tight and look forward to future chapters.😁😁
