บท 13: 13 First Day At UA
The entrance exam results reached home within a couple of days, and as I'd planned, I was placed tenth in the exam. I didn't want to be the number one in everything, because one way or another I'll be taking the number one spot in quirk assessment since I've got a physique similar to or better than Captain America.
Well, after getting the result, we just went out for dinner as a family. Fuyumi came two days after the results came, and she hoped that I'd be in the same class as Shoto. Since she became my girlfriend, we didn't go out for dates but hung out in the bakery a lot of the time. She's just paranoid that someone may recognise her and inform her father, or worse, her brother Touya, in her opinion.
Now that a month has passed, it's time for me to go to school and meet up with the future heroes. I'm in class 1A. Nezu informed my dad and mom that Aizawa is the homeroom teacher of my class. So they told me about him. When he was a hero, he appreciated their care for a couple of years, and he went solo from then on. So basically, my teacher is the student of my parents; it just got more interesting.
After saying goodbye to my family, I left for school. I went ahead of time so that I could see the drama happen right in front of me. It'll be fun.
As soon as I reached UA, I went straight to the class. When I reached there, the class was empty, which means I'm way too early for anyone else. So I looked for my seat and found it on the left side of the class room. I was in the second last seat in the leftmost corner. So I sat down there and just observed the class until Momo came in.
As she entered the class room, she spotted me and just smiled. She walked inside the room, looked at the seating arrangement, and sat right behind me. After she settled down, she spoke to me, "Hi, I'm Momo Yaoyorozu. You can call me Momo. What's your name?"
"I'm Haruto Kageyama. You can call me Haruto or Haru as you see fit, Momo."
"Sure, then I'll call you Haru." Saying that, she beamed a smile and continued,What's your quirk? Mine is your creation quirk."
"Ah, well, it's best if I show you." I said that I stood up, moved a few feet away from her, and spread my wings in their glory of twenty feet.
"" Coooool"" Momo and another person said at the same time, so I turned around to see the pikachu standing at the door, gaping at my wings, so I retracted it and said, "Come inside, man, you're blocking the entrance."
"Ah, sorry, man. I'm Denki Kaminari, quirk electrification."
"Haruto Kageyama. And I have two quirks."
""You have two?"" they again said in unison.
"Yes, Angel Physique has a body mutation and umbrakinesis."
"What is kinesis?" Denki asked, confused.
"It's dark manipulation." Momo clarified it to him.
"Isn't that like, you know, a villain quirk?" He said that with a little bit of confusion.
"Well, there's no evil quirks, Denki, only evil people." I said that with a smile, not minding what he said.
"Yeah, what Haru said. It's not the quirk; it's the user who's the villain."
"Yeah. You're right, sorry man."
"I don't mind it. It's just an honest mistake on your part."
After that, Denki placed his things at his place and sat on the table beside me, and we three started to have some small talks.
As we were talking, the class slowly started to fill up, with Todoroki sitting at the table beside Momo and Tokoyomi sitting beside my table. As Tokoyomi came to his seat, Denki left for his seat. I saw Jiro and waved at her; she greeted me back with her own wave and looked around and sighed. I think she was looking for Mineta, and I think that I replaced him in the class.
A couple of minutes later, Katsuki came in and sat down in two seats in front of me. As soon as he sat down, he placed his legs on the table, and he just chilled sitting there.
In the meantime, Jiro came near me and thanked me for saving her two times in the battle center. I just said that it's a hero's duty to save anyone bullshit. We talked for a bit, and she went back to her seat when Iida came in. I think she still remembers him from the orientation hall. Who am I kidding? Everyone knows him for sure.
After he sat down, he looked around and saw me lying on my table and Katsuki with his legs placed on the table. Seeing this, he stood up and first came towards me and said, "Excuse me. Can you sit properly? We're hero course students; we should show the discipline of a hero during our study," and he started to ramble on about decorum and discipline, so in order to stop him from more rambling, I interrupted him while sitting straight and said, "I'm sitting straight now. Happy? If you are, please leave."
"Thank you." After saying thank you to me, for whatever reason, he went towards Katsuki and started to berate him.
A couple of seconds later, the door was opened, and Izuku just stood at the door while looking at Katsuki and Iida.
Iida, seeing Izuku, went to him and apologised for misunderstanding him during the exam and whatnot. Right after that, Ochako came and talked to Izuku, and that guy just blushed so hard that smoke started to come out of his head: 'Anime logic.'
As they were talking, a tired voice was heard: "Go somewhere else if you want to play at being friends."
We looked at the source of the sound and saw a man inside a sleeping bag.
"This is the hero course." He said that he ate liquid food, came out of the sleeping bag, and continued, "Okay, it took eight seconds before you were quiet." Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough."
After observing everyone in the class who were clearly confused about his identity, he introduced himself as "your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you." With the same tired voice.
"It's kind of sudden, but put this on and go out onto the field." After saying that, he left us with our gym clothes at the entrance. Seeing that nobody was getting up, I got up from my seat, took one of the clothes that was my size, and went to the dressing room to change. Since I took the initiative to change first, the rest followed suit.
