บท 19: Small Games

They finished the affairs inside; the fire got bigger and bigger and it became a spectacle of the residents who were there. The opera is not a small place, and the building looks very magnificent.

The huge fire that burns its inside makes a bright light in the middle of the night. The impossible did not attract people's attention.

The imperial police had come. They immediately made a retreat to the population so as not to create chaos that made it difficult for the imperial policemen to serve.

Richard got off his horse-drawn carriage immediately, his face stiffened. Because of this incident, he hoped that there would not be many casualties on the fire. The look in his eyes then caught the figures of two men he didn't know coming out of the Opera house casually holding a woman.

made him raise his eyebrows at a glance.

Kalden stopped in front of Richard with a look of cold eyes. Richard's eyebrows twitched. He seemed to know this strange pressure. When their eyes met, an icy feeling instantly enveloped him.

"Count Oriesdett?"

Kalden looked at him coldly and opened his mouth.

"An imperial policy can't take care of this matter. It's almost a big deal. Deliver the seventh princess to the palace."

Shye immediately approached and gave Portia to Richard, who was still confused.

When the mask worn by Portia was untied, Richard's eyes widened.

"Princess Portia!"

"What are you doing, Count!!" Richard yelled at Kalden. The look in his eyes was sharp, and he held his sword tightly once.

"Thank me. I solved this matter, Ambergard. You didn't know there was a cult in the middle of the city? Princess Portia is almost an offering."

Kalden passed by Richard, while Richard, who wanted to catch up with Kalden to ask for an explanation, could not move. He had to take care of Portia's troubles and what happened in front of him.

"Abelot! Come here!" Richard, in a big voice, directly called his deputy, and he gave Portia to Abelot.

He was so hasty with Kalden said what, that his calm had been disturbed.

"Make sure that the princess Portia is safe, deliver it to the palace."

After Richard said that, he ran into the Opera house; he witnessed for himself there were many people who lost consciousness, the imperial policemen were carrying the bodies of the victims to safety and when he went deeper, when the others were busy fighting the fire with their magic, Richard widened his eyes, he was really surprised by what he found.

"Captain, we found the culprit, and their bodies have been bound."

Richard knew who this was. He squeezed his hand very tightly. Because he felt that he was really going through something like this, a mess of this magnitude hit him, unaware of it.

Although the fire was quite big, but they still found some demons that were still alive elsewhere, Kalden deliberately didn't burn them all because he knew Richard must have come to this place soon and he had to see real evidence to cover his annoying mouth.

Another reason why Kalden burned him was because he needed attention quickly, so that he could contentedly mock marquis Richard Ambergard.

He did that to his own satisfaction.

Seeing the destruction from the eyes of someone he didn't like.

Kalden had paid for Richard's disrespect quickly, and he mocked Richard for their incompetence.

The simple horse-drawn carriage took Kalden and Shye home to their mansion. Shye followed Kalden as usual without asking Kalden anything.

Even breathing heavily he shouldn't because Kalden could be bothered by it, when they walked into the mansion, Kalden went straight into his room, he removed his disguise, his mask was strange and similar to him that he was placed on the table, while his shirt was half open.

He didn't rest, and enjoyed the rays of not coming into his room while drinking the red drink in his hand.

Kalden touched his forehead and his feelings sank even more.

**

The newspaper had been on his desk, and Kalden saw clearly the news of the Opera fire without any news of the cults.

At least Richard covered the case well. If the news of Portia and also the cult were heard by the people, there would be a crisis of confidence in the imperial police force and also such a dense restlessness.

It can't be taken lightly that matters will make a fuss that ends in chaos.

The matter of limb removal has not yet been resolved, and Richard has received a loud slap with the opera case.

Kalden ate his breakfast in the room. He was so calm with the window open. The hang people near his mansion were not as many as yesterday, and most of them were curious about the opera case, so they came to the opera house just to see what happened.

The police line had been installed at a distance far enough so that they would not infiltrate in the crowd.

In the crowd, a person with black long hair smiled faintly, and disappeared later.

**

"They really think of this as a place to play."

Even the day has not changed, and Kalden has read the second newspaper after he finished lunch.

[There has been a cult of heresy and the daughter of Portia is almost a victim at the offering event at the Opera house]

The headline of the news has changed and clearly says something filled with truth.

The news that exposes the covered truth and relates to the imperial family is not a simple thing. Actually, Kalden had thought of this. He didn't expect it to be so fast, and Richard couldn't handle it.

Kalden heard clearly that this news had caused quite a stir. People lost their trust and their fears increased.

"I'm so scared to walk around. The matter of the murder is also still a mystery."

"Plus this kind of cult, even the princess alone, is almost a victim. Let alone those of us who are ordinary people?" he said it while taking a swig of his saliva uneasily.

The Vaenlight Empire adhered to the belief in the god Ieyar. They always believed that they were endowed and protected. But in the midst of that belief, there is now a vacillation. Even the demons still unswervingly pointed their spears aimed at the Ieyar God.

"It's a pity, Ambergard. You're like a disabled horse."

Kalden noticed the portrait of the burning opera house with a shrinking corner of his eye.

Maybe he should move in a while, and a small game is indeed starting.
