Desiree
Walking back home, I knew my life would never be the same again. There was no way the moons were going to listen to me, and they would feel I abandoned them in their time of need. I wished they would listen, because the vision that saw was gruesome, and I prayed that it wouldn't come to pass. I got to the packhouse two hours later, about three in the morning. I entered my apartment and found Adam curled on the bed. I was amazed that he would be there since I wasn't around. I thought he would sleep in his apartment instead. I took off my clothes and curled into the bed next to him. He came close and wrapped his hands around me.
"You couldn't stay away from me too long," he whispered in my ears with his husky sleep voice, and I smiled. How the hell could they expect me to give him up. I hugged his hands to my chest and relaxed into his embrace. All my troubles were far away, and sleep came quickly.
