At the Shadow Moon pack,

["Alpha,"] Darren was about to leave his office when he received a mind link from the warrior who was put incharge in the absence of Mateo and Levi to take over the pack's security.

He frowned because he knew it was not good news he would be receiving from the link. ["What happened?"]

["We…" He hesitated, "We can't find or reach Beta Mateo…."]

["What?"] Darren interjected before he could say more. ["How did you lose a grown man, he is not a child."] He yelled at the warrior through the link.

["Witches were in play, Alpha."] Hue saud but Dareen cut the link without hearing the rest of the story.

He took a deep breath and then linked Kora. [" My Love, I will leave you in charge for a little while, is that okay by you?"] He asked in a calm vo8ce that gave no trace of the annoyance he displayed when linking the warrior.
