Amin Abas and three other men carried their wounded commander Hakim Saleh on their shoulders. He was heavy and it was not helped that all of them had on their armour. With difficulty, they ran up the slope of the ravine to take their commander to safety but also get a healer to pull out the arrow wedged in his mouth.
With their efforts, all they had managed to do was cut off some parts of the arrow but in the process, they had done more harm than good. The vibration from sawing the tips of the arrow had increased the blood flow from the wound. They could see the look of agony on their Commander's face, it pained them greatly.
