บท 107: AMBUSH IN THE RAVINE

Captain Esau George led his thirty-strong knights into the ravine up ahead. A few of them paid heed to their Captain's words and looked on both sides cautiously to spot any abnormality but the majority just relaxed in the saddle of their horses not bothered. What danger could really be lurking there that they could not handle? 

Christian Gucci felt it was just pure cowardice on their part. The captain was not behaving like a veteran of many wars.

He felt the mood was becoming too dull for his liking, he remembered one of their good songs which they used to sing in the crusade. He started by humming the tune, and soon enough his men joined in.

"Hail, to the Christian warrior!

Hail, to the Holy Mary our benefactor!
