บท 2: Goals In Life!
It had been 12 years and a couple of months since Leon had come to this world. His name stayed the same, which was Leon. He had Two brothers who were born around the same time as him.
"Drop down and give me Fifty, there will be no slacking today. After today, you will be in charge of your own workout sessions."
The man speaking had jet-black hair and green eyes, he was toned and muscular with sharp polished eyebrows.
This was Leon's new father. Leon was also able to keep his original name prior to coming here.
Currently, Leon and his 2 brothers were being trained by their Dad. Once they turned 13, they would be taken to an Island by Team Rocket for a trial royale.
Children born from Team Rocket members would be taken there to scout out potential youngsters. There were also other kids taken there who weren't a part of Team Rocket, these kids were kidnapped and forced to participate.
These kids were usually orphans who had nothing, as all orphans generally wouldn't.
"Good, keep it going. It's going to be tough on that island, so you guys might not survive. I, of course, want you to live, so your mom and I have been training you guys since you were Seven."
Their father spoke seriously, but no one replied to him. The Three of them were occupied with doing their set of push-ups. With a grin across his face, he nodded with satisfaction.

Leon stopped when he finished his push-ups, he was the first one to complete them. He stood in place without a word.
His father didn't seem surprised by this and only smiled in return. Now, Leon was the middle child, this kid that was named by his mom.
The dad named Two Kids since he managed to beat his wife in a game of rock, paper, scissors.
Next was the first brother and finally the third brother to complete their set.
"That's all the training for today, you've completed all of your sets. From now on, you'll be in charge of your own training. Make sure you stay fit before heading for the trial island, don't slack off."
"Yes!"
"Yes, Dad!"
"Right!"
Each of them gave a different reply, but their father nodded nonetheless.
"Alright, you guys are dismissed. Mom is preparing dinner as we speak, so she will call for you guys later." He smiled before turning to leave.
"Damn, you did it again. How do you do those push-ups so fast?" Leon's elder brother Larson asked curiously.
Larson had short black hair, he was half a head taller than Leon and his youngest brother, Luke. His eyes were green just like his father's, showing that he took after him.
"I just train when I'm alone, there really isn't much to it. Just make sure you're eating right, you're on the right track."
Leon had worked out often before he became who he was, so he knew what it took to get in shape.
"It looks like I'll have to up my training if I want to be fit for the trial. I'll see you at dinner, I'll head to my room. A good diet is indeed the best and easiest way to get stronger." Larson nodded before leaving, he rushed off to his room.
Leon knew he was going to do some secret training alone.
"I guess I better start training up myself, are you going to go play with those poor useless kids today?" Luke spoke to himself before throwing a question at Leon.
"Not all of us are fortunate to have parents, there's nothing poor about them. Poor is a mindset and I happened to know someone who's like this."
Leon only smirked after replying, this was a childish provocation.
"....."
"Alright, whatever you say." Luke's expression darkened before he shook his head and proceeded to exit the room.
Leon knew Luke's way of thinking, he thought he was better than those less privileged kids. Luke was too arrogant because his parent had decent positions in Team Rocket.
His home was currently in the province of Viridian City, but their home was located in the slums.
Leon's parents believed this to be the perfect place to hide away from the authorities, so as to not risk being identified and arrested.
In all honesty, the cops that kept watch in this area were corrupted, so they didn't expect anything to happen anyway.
Leon went to his room to get some alone time, something he did often.
"Alright. Let's check Pokemon Home." Something amazing happened when he turned Twelve years old recently.
Leon was suddenly notified that his Pokemon Arceus save file had fused with his Pokemon Home—which was available for use.
"This is too amazing, but there are some Pokemon that are crossed out and missing." Leon noticed that his Arceus, Palkia, Dialga, Celebi, and Jirachi were missing. These Pokemon were missing from his Pokemon Home but every other Pokemon was present.
Unfortunately, some Pokemon were crossed out and couldn't be used. This was only the Legendaries and other Mythical Pokemon. However, Leon discovered how he could gain access to these Pokemon.
"It seems I have to beat a certain amount of Gym Leaders to access Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. As for Mew and Mewtwo, I would need to beat the Elite 4 and Champion to access them."
Leon felt that this was fair. This rule was also applied in the same manner for the other regional Legendaries and Mythical Pokemon.
Leon had already laid out his full-blown plan for this world and how he would live. He had access to Pokemon, so this wasn't an issue. What Leon lacked was money, held items, evolution stones etc.
"There are several small gangs around this part of town, they're nothing compared to Team Rocket. A few of these small gangs even had small-time Team Rocket grunts backing them."
Leon was in the process of forming his own gang. He was sure he could buy the family's freedom to leave Team Rocket.
He simply had to sell some Pokemon with decent Aptitudes, but not any with insanely high Aptitudes. That's right, Leon had the ability to see a Pokemon's status as well.
"I can't simply pull out a Pokemon with an amazing aptitude, or it would only ensue trouble." There was a time and place for these things, so he could only wait.
There were many scenarios he could use to his advantage when he was on the island.
"I'll wait before meeting them, I need something to eat first." Leon was starving after his workout, so he wanted to wait and eat first before leaving.
"I may as well run another test, I'll just transfer one of these Pokemon." Accessing Pokemon Home in his mind, he saw a view of 200 boxes—not all of them were filled with Pokemon.
Leon clicked on a max IV Ekans, he had been testing how aptitude was converted in this world. After clicking Ekans—a line of optional text appeared.

Leon clicked the move to bag option.
Suddenly, Leon felt something in his pocket, which could be none other than the Pokeball. He pulled it out of his pocket and it was revealed to be in its shrunken state.
"It's too bad that I can't store items in the Home, only life forms. I hope this can change in the future under certain circumstances."
Nevertheless, Leon was already satisfied with what he had; this was obviously a cheat. He pressed the button on the Pokeball with a smile before it increased in size.
"Ekans, let's go." Leon tossed the Pokeball and said.
Ekans shot out of the Pokeball like a bolt of lightning, it was quite thick and lengthy in size if Leon had to say so himself. But he wasn't scared because his mom had an Arbok as one of her Pokemon.
Leon also knew that any Pokemon summoned from his Pokemon Home would be loyal to him unless he gave it away.
"Ekanssss..." Ekans hissed before turning to Leon silently. He could feel the coldness in its eyes; this caused him to sweat and his heartbeat to speed up slightly.
Leon already knew the source of this feeling, it was likely due to its ability.
This Ekans had max IVs, almost pushing its potential to the limit. Leon simply inspected the Ekans.

This Aptitude was top-notch, it would cause anyone to go crazy with joy just from acquiring it. However, this wasn't the highest Aptitude. This was a Pokemon with max IVs, but not max EVs, in fact, it had no EVs.
The only way to boost its strength now was with the use of Protein, Carbos, Iron drinks, or defeating Pokemon with certain EV distribution, etc.
These special drinks were costly and hard to acquire in stores. The Pokemon Alliance had most of these resources in their hands, and so did Team Rocket and a few other organizations.
So, no normal trainer could get them. There were a total of 8 Aptitude ranks, from the lowest to the highest.
-Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Magenta, Purple,
This Ekans had max IVs, so it had a Magenta-graded aptitude. If it had max EVs, it would have reached the Purple graded aptitude.
If this Pokemon didn't have any max IVs in any stat, it would be at the lowest rank, Red.
However, to raise IVs, one would need plenty of resources to make it happen.
Leon wanted to live well in this world and try out several things. Being a breeder was also something he wanted to do, a gang leader, and eventually—a Team Leader.
"Thanks for confirming something for me. Ekans, you can go back now." Leon smiled before recalling Ekans.
"I'll go meet the others after eating dinner, my parents shouldn't have a problem with me going out. At least, as long as I come back home on time." Just as he said this, Leon heard his mom call out to him and his brothers.
Dinner was ready.
