"What's the word?"
Mike said with a pained expression, "The Giants want the Raiders to give up a star running back, a main wide receiver, and a backup quarterback in exchange for me, and I'm just a second-round pick. This is too exaggerated. Under normal circumstances, it's pretty good if a second-round pick can be traded for one main player, but they're asking for a star running back!"
Mike hadn't made it into the first round of the drafts, but after the sudden interception by the Giants, they had offered Mike the price of a top pick.
If the trade were really to go through, Mike's topic would probably explode immediately, easily overshadowing the first pick along with the second and third ones.
A rookie only has potential, but the Raiders' running back is a star, a proven force still in his prime years—it's just not the same thing at all.
