Ajel looked down , and didn't know whenever to cry or laugh.
Potentially both?
He found out that , after 5 days , the byproduct was meant to be linked to the main product via another link connector , like the main product (lead) to the condensed magic that was used to be a catalyst.
But then he ran into another problem.
He didn't understand how to change the atomic structure of the material , and it was vague in the manuel.
Groaning , Ajel continued to trad the book that Awek gave him before sighing.
Luckily , it wasn't the only form of Alchemy , and he could work himself up from someone else , which is altering the shape.
This alchemy does not change the atomic structure , but instead changes the shape of the item.
Ajel drew the magic circle . before looking down at his notepad . which was full of notes detailing his experiences.
Since he only needed to change the base material , Ajel then took the lead out and then put the iron sword that he had gotten from the blacksmith.
Although he had been doing alchemy all day , the condensed mana alongside the first seal of the magic points meant that he was fine to continue his studies.
The metal sword seemed just a standard sword , and Ajel decided to continue to read the alchemy book , as he was nearly at the end.
Luckily , it had the details of how to do it unlike the change the atomic structure , so Ajel let out a small sigh of relief.
All he had to do was to put in mana into the circle and "imagine." and feed off the laws of mana , which is mana is omnipotent and also use the law of equivalent exchange.
But he still needed to be careful.
One wrong step and he might be incinerated.
Breathing in , and breathing out , Ajel slowly touched the magic circle.
Something he noticed is that the condensed mana that was linked to the lead from before didn't go down in the slightest , which made Ajel confused on what if he was right.
Cataylst is something that sped up a reaction.... maybe it was because there was no reaction?
Looking down at the iron sword , Ajel that a key form of this Alchemy is imagination , and imagining what you need it to be like.
What did he wan't the iron sword to become?
the iron sword was around 2 kg , meaning that he was limited to making certain things.
Thinking about his hometown , back in Uwendale , Ajel imagined a Scythe , one used to cut wheat and hay.
The magic circle shot out in a large spark of electricity , and Ajel didn't have time to see the colour as a metal scythe with a small wooden handle.
It was the same size as the sword , and it curved at the end before coming to a point.
*BA-DUMP*
"AGH!"
Ajel fell on the floor , feeling a throbbing pain in his chest.
Looking at his mana consumption , Ajel was horrified to see that it had properly chunked through all of his reserves and left him completely dry.
Ajel looked blankly at the roof above , before sighing.
Well , at least he knew how to do the most basic form of Alchemy now , even if it was exhausting and crude.
But he wanted to stay in the cave , until he becomes more proficient.
---------
Ajel could not grasp the time as he slowly started to practise changing the form of the metal sword. He turned it into a long dagger , a scythe , and other items and which each item formed into another he felt himself losing a little less mana with every time he changed the form.
It was addicting.
He could stay like that forever.
Unfortunately , he had something he needed to do , and that was to fight with that girl.
The marking's in the wall told no lies , and today was the month deadline for the fight he agreed upon.
He had nearly forgot , but he couldn't miss this fight , as even he wanted to see the efforts of his training.
-----------
Walking the 5 miles from the cave to the city , Ajel walked back to Yvonne's house and bowed when he saw her.
"It has been a while , Ajel." Yvonne smiled. "Your training has been fruitful?"
"Time to find out." Ajel groaned , before following Yvonne.
Ajel was taken to the center of the town , near a place where the people worship Avarosa like a god.
A stadium was constructed , and it was certainty one of the most well-built structures in the city , which was dominated by wood. This , however , seemed to be made with sturdy stone.
"It was constructed to show the friendship between the Avoroasans and The Winter Claw , but now it doesn't see much use for reasons a smart lad like you could see."
"Granny Yvonne , are you telling me i'll fight here?" Ajel looked around , before getting taken into one of the side entrances.
Due to the "warm weather" today , Ajel saw that the Colosseum roof had been opened in a way that had shocked Ajel.
A roof that can fold?
how is that possible?
But more importantly , Ajel realised that there were alot of people.
Alot.
500-1000 at a estimate.
"You will fight here , have you got everything sorted?"
"Yes , Elder. Why is there so much people here?"
"Your fighting the expected next in line for the title of the warmother. Ashe has a lot to prove , and her own move and grandmother are here to watch the fight. Do not hold back , and do not underestimate her. Those who have , for a plethora of reasons , end up on their arse or 6 feet under , do you understand?"
Ajel nodded his head , before checking his equipment.
"Why do i feel like i'm getting rushed?"
"Because your late."
"Oh...."
