บท 148: Kashjai

A tense silence followed Riley's statement. I could read everyone's thoughts right now, and all of them agree that we cannot trust Riley.

All except Bane.

I'm not too sure she had met Riley at all. Perhaps, they had, or maybe this was the first time they had crossed paths.

I stared at him, and he stared at me. We were in a staring contest for a while before I decided I'll take the upper hand and not let him have his way.

"What makes you think I'd be desperate to make any deals with you?" 

The hologram he presented came back to my mind. There was something odd about it. 

I clicked my tongue, smirking upon finding a loophole in his proposal. But I'm not going to put all of my cards on the table just yet. 

Riley scoffed.

"In that case, you don't care what happens to Bronn?" 

Ysabel tensed beside me. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed her jaw locked, and she was gritting her teeth, glaring at Riley.
