However, Xu Anyi merely smiled and turned around, pulling her long hair to the front of her shoulder, revealing her beautiful and elegant back, "Go ahead!"
Xia Yiwei frowned slightly as she clenched her fists together, wondering how Xu Anyi could be so calm. Was this just part of her strategy? Pretending to be calm although she was panicking inside.
Well, that did seem like something Xu Anyi would do. She always had a cold and mighty expression on her face, as if she was superior to everyone else around her, and this was also something about her Xia Yiwei despised.
Xia Yiwei's lips twitched as she raised an eyebrow. Well then, if Xu Anyi was going to throw herself onto the hook, she was not going to stop her!
Xia Yiwei glanced over at Yi Tingting, signaling for her to go ahead.
Yi Tingting took a step forward, but some of the guys from behind couldn't keep watching.
"What are you guys doing? She is a girl after all. . . Wouldn't it be bad to make her pull off her dress in front of all these people?"
Yi Tingting stopped and glared at the guy who had spoken, "Don't worry. They said the diamond is in the back of the zipper, so we just have to flip the zipper around. If there is no diamond, then. . . We all know who is lying."
The guy sighed and did not say anything else, because he was just as curious as well.
If it wasn't the real dress, then Xu Anyi would be the laughingstock of everyone here for at least the next year.
But if it was the real dress, then. . .
Xu Anyi stood proudly with her back straight, and all the guys watching could not take their eyes off of her gorgeous back, which looked elegant yet sexy.
Xia Yiwei also silently clenched her teeth together when she saw that Lu Yuzhe's gaze was also straight as he stared at Xu Anyi.
Just you wait! In just a second, Xu Anyi's fake image will all shatter!
Yi Tingting walked over and forcefully grabbed onto the zipper, pulling it down about two inches to flip the inside of the dress out.
Several of the guys pressed their lips together as they focused more on her bare back than the dress itself. At this point, they did not even care about the diamond anymore.
She was so gorgeous!
So what if she was wearing a fake? The fake dress should be honored to be worn by her!
In the second Yi Tingting flipped the inside of the dress out, wanting to show all the guests the bare inside of the dress clearly, there was a sudden sparkle that lit up the balcony, shining brightly in the darkness of the night.
At once, several gasps filled the silence as many people crowded forward to try and get a better look.
How can that be?!
Right at the center of the dress, a few centimeters beneath the zipper, a bright round diamond the size of a fingernail was firmly attached to the fabric, shining brightly amongst the red colors around it.
When Yi Tingting saw the diamond, the smile that had been on her face froze completely as her expression turned into shock and she continued to hold onto the zipper, forgetting to react.
Xia Yiwei's face also turned as pale as a sheet of paper, and the hand she had originally been holding onto Lu Yuzhe with fell out of his palm.
Xu Anyi stood still, looking straight ahead for a few seconds, not surprised at their reaction.
It's not like she had faith in herself or the dress, but she did have faith in Si Mu that he would not give her a fake.
After a few seconds, she stepped to the side, and the dress fell out of Yi Tingting's hand, but she continued to hold it up in the same position, still in shock.
Xu Anyi pulled the zipper back up herself, and turned to face Yi Tingting and Xia Yiwei, "Happy now?"
Yi Tingting stood there as still as a statue, and her face looked as pale as a sheet of paper right now. After several seconds, she whipped her head around and looked toward Xia Yiwei in shock, as if asking for help.
Seeing this, Xia Yiwei immediately frowned as she glared warningly at Yi Tingting and stepped forward, pulling her back, "So it is indeed the real dress-"
She exclaimed, her voice cracking slightly as she still could not believe it.
"It can't be-" Yi Tingting repeated, muttering to herself, and Xia Yiwei turned around to look at her. When she saw all the guests standing behind them, she silently clenched her teeth together. No, she could not let Xu Anyi just get away with it in front of all these people!
"Anyi. . . Are you sure that diamond is real?" She asked, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"What? You're still suspicious?" Xu Anyi raised an eyebrow.
"No, of course I won't doubt your words," Xu Anyi said with a sweet smile, "But I just wanted to make sure. I don't want you to get tricked too."
Xu Anyi scoffed, "I'm certain-"
Suddenly, someone else's voice rose from behind the crowd, "It's easy to see if the diamond is real or not."
A girl squeezed through the crowd and reached the front, and everyone recognized her.
"Oh, right! Yuyu is the daughter of Diamen! She would certainly know at first sight whether the diamond is real or not!"
Diamen was one of the largest luxury jewelry brands in Country Z, and Yuyu would have certainly seen more diamonds in her lifetime than anyone else here.
She lifted her chin up proudly and nodded, "I am certain I can spot a fake diamond when I see one. Plus, this is a red diamond. . . It won't be hard to tell the difference between a fake and a real because it's so rare."
Xu Anyi raised an eyebrow and turned back around, pushing her hair aside.
Yuyu carefully pulled her zipper down slightly and took a look at the diamond again, brushing her fingers through it. After a few seconds, she turned around, her eyes sparkling with excitement, "It's definitely real!"
