Ashton frowned watching Deno rise and take off his coat, he unbuttoned his shirt to open it and reveal the blemish where the stake struck him "I tried, to help Belladonna at least, but failed"

Ashton leaned in to closely inspect that blemish then asked "How long do you sleep?"

"Forever, as long as that stake is in my chest I can't waken, I will be in that comatose state for the rest of my existence, I dream of good times that are fake, I have horrible nightmares and can't escape them, it's a vampire lord's own personal Hell"

Deno closed the shirt up and sat "My body will wither away with time, give it long enough and I'll end up nothing but a skeleton, useless, pathetic, not at all a danger to anyone"
