Leaning forward she scanned the side of the road in the headlights then pointed "There"

Slowly following her direction Anastasia climbed off road but the extra weight in the car became instantly obvious when its belly grinded against a press in the road.

Both women in front looked back and Bella scoffed "Fine! Let me get out I'll run next to the car"

Anastasia halted and she shimmied herself backwards to reach for the door but Nic's arm suddenly came around her neck and he drew her against his chest.

"Hey, don't go" he said in a sluggish voice.

Bella looked over and saw him barely opening his eyes, whatever the doctor at the camp gave him had him heavily drugged, he wasn't all there.

"I'll be right back okay?" She said and he dropped his arm.

"Don't be too long" he said but his head tipped and fell asleep again.
