"Shit, this is heavy," Zane said, adjusting himself in the chair. "I get it now… the mate bond. I mean, I don't really get it. I have never felt one of course, but I can respect it. You two were destined from the time you were conceived." 

He looked at his sister and Theo, seeing them now in a new light. This wasn't just any mere lycan, which honestly would have been impressive on its own. He had never known a lycan who could turn into a wolf. Lycans like that always seemed like fantasies… myths from the stories their parents told them when they were young. To have an actual one among them was surreal, if not concerning for the threat of physical strength he had compared to Cora.

But this lycan was her mate… and not JUST her mate. He was the son of Graeme and August Hallowell, which also made him the heir to their pack. Theo was the next Alpha of the legendary Hallowells.
