Sophia stared at Anne. The younger woman was determined and diligent. After a while, Sophia finally nodded. "If it will depend on me to choose whoever I want to be my maid, yes, Anne. I can give you the position in the future if I have been the Luna."

Anne beamed. Later, she kneeled, held Sophia's hand, and kissed it. "Oh, Miss Sophia, you don't know how much it means to me."

"Why do you want to be the Luna's maid?" 

Anne released her hold on Sophia's hand. "I come from a low-income family, miss. Though Alpha King and the young master are always kind to me, still, I'm afraid of the future."

Sophia creased her forehead as she didn't understand what Anne meant. "Doesn't John pay you well?"
