It took a lot of negotiating, but after giving an ample amount of blood to Fiona, they let me sleep in the tent beside my new brother. 

They'd set up a cot beside his stasis pod and since Fiona and Tanya's tent was the one beside this one, they said they would keep checking in on us overnight.

Originally Lux and Lois wanted me to sleep in their tent, which they shared with the other men who had freed me from the Vault.

So when the tent flap opened in the middle of the night, I sleepily rolled over to face the entrance expecting one of the only women in the encampment. Instead, when System irritated me to wake up, there was a large unhuman shadow.

Glowing eyes, wide set on the triangular face, looked down at me. Their black pupils were thin and dilated, chilling me to the bone. 

"Snake?" I breathlessly exclaimed. Something about a snake scared me to the core, as well as angering and disgusting me... Was this Selena's emotions or my own?
