บท 6: Chapter 6: The Dragon's festival
You must be wondering what awakening? Well the Paw Paw's Devil Fruit allows the user to repel things. So what would happened if it was awakened? What could it repel if it can already repel something as intangible as damage? Yeah, it could repel feelings or thoughts. Now what would I do with such a power. Hmmm? I would obviously use it like any he-HAHAHAHAH! I can't even keep a straight face.
Class just ended and I can sense people rushing over to our classroom's door. It took five minutes for the whole class to realize what was happening. The same thing that happened in canon happened now except Shinso SASAGA- well the purple insomniac mention me as the son of a murder. As their was no eye candy to be seen I got up which brought the attention of everyone. I walked up to shinso.
Shinso: What are you going to attack me? Frankly I don't know why they let you in UA. You're just as dangerous as the other guy who's loud and full of himself.
Kaido: I don't think someone with you kind of quirk should judge people based on rumors.
This took everyone by surprised, Shinso looked shocked. Well you must be think that I'm an idea for saying this as it will alert the school staff of my knowledge. It won't because he was in my last school. I didn't mention him cuz he wasn't an MC. As I walk past him I said my final words.
Kaido: Congratulations! You just became a hypocrite.
I could feel like he was confused but I didn't dwell on that as I had to decide what technique I was going to use. Not to win but to avoid killing. If my act goes well I might even score something I thought I would need to wait for a few more years. I will not tell you guys as it will be a pleasant surprise if I succeed and a less humiliating lose if I fail.
Today is the day of the festival. We walked in our group and after everyone was here the reason why I was in the front of our group came walking on the podium. Midnight invited me to give a few words as I scored the first place. I came close to her, instead of taking the mic I pulled my phone and took some picture at after some she even took some generous pose. President Mic interrupted us and I had to give my speech.
Kaido: Well I would to say first of all that these picture will up to sale for anyone that wishs to buy it…
Most of the guys looked at me like I was some kind of genius while some people of the stands were criticizing me. I could tell because haki. I then went on with my speech.
Kaido: I would like to make one thing clear. I AM NOT A HERO! I just came here to get a job that's it. Never call me a hero cuz I don't save people out of the goodness of my heart but because I can do it and I get paid to do it. I saw multiple of case like these where haha Heroes will use the pretext of not endangering more life to do nothing just because your opponent has the advantage. A hero is someone who either has the courage to face fear or the deeds to be called as such at best you could consider me as a police officer that use my powers legally.
After my speech I was booed.
Hero in the stand: If all you want is money then you should've taken another job.
Kaido: You think I didn't try to look? You think I would spend a single second playing dress up with idiots that like to suck the dicks of their own self righteous ego. I just came here to get a degree and a career. If you think I would care if-
I was interrupted by Midnight who took the Mic and calmed the stage. I had said the last part in a more emotional voice so I went calm myself but I was not able to as a member of the hero association came to talk to me. They gave me the whole hero of good bullshit that sounded like he was sucking the dick of heroism. I stopped listening when he said he would like to invite me.
Kaido: If you could perhaps use the first gift nature gave to humanity, which is called a brain, to think for even a fraction of a second you would leave me alone for your own good since contrary to my father I view you less then an insect. I will not hold back if it's a fight you want.
I did not give him time to respond as I left for the first stage of the festival. Midnight signalled the start of the race. I just stood there and waited in the back. When everyone had left I kept hearing people booing me. At this point I decided it was time to give all of them a show. I was actually really pissed right now. I remembered how they feared me now they have an actual reason to do so. The boos in the stands stopped when everyone noticed the clouds growing bigger and darker. Lightning started to show and a purple thunder stricked me. Nobody said anything as my body grew larger. Scales started to form and my skin started to become blue. My eyes had fully changed into reptiles ones. My upper body started to elonged itself and shapping into the form of a dragon, my lower half followed suit. I flew towards the sky and was engulfed by the clouds. When I came out of it I had become a gigantic dragon.
Kaido: WORORORORORO! TIME TO FINISH THIS RACE!
My voice was the same as Kaido in this form. I could feel that quite a few spectator had fainted. It barely took a minute to reach the final line which I was the first one to arrive. I turned back into a human which shocked everyone for another reason. I was naked. Yeah this isn't One Piece clothes won't reappear after transformation ends. I got quite the look from Midnight. Which I wasn't really embarrassed since I am packing a decent one. I stood there not caring until the race was over then I left to get changed or to be precise put some clothes on.
