บท 62: Proposal

Soon, the boys surrounded us. Some of them jumped onto Ian, while some of the men looked at me curiously.

"Johnny! Help me look after the horse!" Ian said as he handed the reins to the tallest boy. At the same time, he took out a silver coin from his pocket and tossed it to the boy named Johnny.

"Johnny's got a silver coin. Everyone, follow him!" Ian shouted at the boys. Suddenly, the boys' attention shifted to Johnny. They cheered and chased after him, completely leaving Ian behind.

"I say, Wandering Knight! You have not been back for a long time!" The woman washing clothes by the river just now walked over with a basket of wet clothes in both hands. She looked at me with the same curiosity as the boys.

"May I ask, is this lady a friend of yours?" The woman put down the basket and asked. Her surprise made me feel like a rare object.

"Her name is Olivia, my fiancée!" Ian introduced the woman to me at the same time. "This is Mrs. Wells, my neighbor!"
